If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart this video is an early christmas present. I was so impressed with it that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about it. If you look at the back of your washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video is just what you need. trouble shooting and repair nformation on most

there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever

You will need to replace the timer. Here is the part you need to order.To replace, remove the back cover of the console, remove the knob, unplug the timer and be sure that you have the unit unplugged from the wall before making any repairs!The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Does it make a clicking or a metal on metal noise when it starts the spin cycle?

Is the drain hose above tub level?

Steps for Replacing the Belt

Tools needed:
Nut driver or socket set.
Torex screw driver.

1. Unplug the power cord from the
electric socket and remove the
front panel.
2. Disconnect the power coupling
from the motor.
3. Disconnect the 2 hoses from the
pump. Be aware that the pump
still contains between 1 and
2 cups of water, and it WILL
all come out.
4. Remove the belt from the idler
arm, pushing the belt UNDER the
idler arm. Yes, your hands will
now be quite greasy.
5. Remove the belt from the main
transmission by pushing the belt
under the transmission pulley.
6. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the
motor assembly to the washing
machine body. Remove the motor
assembly with belt from the
washing machine.
7. Turn the motor upside-down. With
the torex screwdriver, remove the
3 bolts that hold the pump to the
motor. Remove the pump from the
motor (in my case, the motor shaft
fit into a slot in the pump; while
it was snug, it was not melted or
rusted, and did just come out).
8. Clean pump and motor as desired.
9. Install new belt and reverse the
steps to re-install.

Sounds like the water seal is damaged and the leaking water has damaged the top bearing which is just below the water seal. You will need to have the hub & seal kit replaced.

its proberly the drum bearings or you have something stuck in the drum was the machine getting noisy before this happend if so it will be your drum bearings
