Bissell 6591 Power Trak Revolution Bagless Upright Vacuum Questions & Answers
Machine no power seems very hot
Vacuum cleaners easily overheat and will shut off as a result. The cause may be a bad electric connection, electric cord or accumulation of hair on the roller bar (prevents the bar from spinning, which burns up the motor). It might be a temporary problem or the motor might have burned up. Let it cool down, check all cords and connections carefully and retry it. You can call Bissell 1-800-237-7691 for more help if this doesn't resolve it

The Bissel vacuums include an internal thermal protector to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protector activates, the cleaner will stop running. Should this happen proceed as follows:
1. Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug from electrical outlet.
2. Check the Pre-Motor Filter and Post-Motor Filter for dirt accumulation.
3. Remove any clogs.
4. When the
vacuum is unplugged and motor cools for approximately 30 minutes, the thermal protector should automatically resets and cleaning may continue.
5. If the thermal protector continues to activate after following the above steps, your cleaner may need servicing. Call B

You mentioned pet hair. Remove the brush cover and check for a plug (possibly pet hair). Sounds as though you have a plug somewhere and it's not allow the suction to pull it through. Also check your filter and clean or replace as necessary. Hint; Never let you container get over half full, it reduces the suction.
Vaccum will not remain standing
A spike-impulse or "delta function" has an interesting frequency spectrum. It is composed of all possible sine waves of frequencies 1,2,3,4,etc. When a large set of sine wave signals are all added together, they cancel out everwhere except at the zero location (origin) of the graph. There they add up to create a large transient-spike.
An acoustic resonator such as an organ pipe contains a type of sinusoidal standing wave. Resonators also support a number of harmonics, and many standing waves of shorter wavelength will "fit" in a single organ pipe.

do not worry about this....it is a common issue with every brand of vacume this style....the poblem is not of power or quality..but rather one of friction or lack of resistance because of the smooth floor surface....carpet surfaces permit the brush part of the roller to FLICK the dirt back up high enough ( only millimeters) to be sucked by the continuous suction flow of the vacume...however smooth finished hardwood or tile floors allow for the heavier none dust particules on your floors to be swept accross the floor with speed...if there was a back drop on the back end of your vacume cleaner these particules would be stoped and sucked up....try taping a strip of brstle board paper with scotch tape to the back part of ur vame head and see if it makes a differnce. Put the paper at dragging floor level and tape it..then sprinkle some dried toast on the bare floor and try it....let me know if it works...

When you hear the whistling noise, means there is a clog either in the hose itself, or in the elbow where it goes in or from where the bottom tube bends and goes up. To clean hose, remove it, stick on top of broom/mop handle and push all the way down to clear out any debris on it.

Hi! Almost certainly your vacuum has a blockage somewhere. The higher pitch means the motor is running faster than normal, but it's not overworking, it's actually working less because it's moving less air. Check for blockages and clear whatever you find (your user manual should tell you where and how to look), and that should be that!
Alternatively, it may be that the drive belt to the brush roller has broken. Check that too.
I hope this helps. If not, please write again and I'll try again.
Bissell spun scrub won't dispense water. Unplugged and plugged back in, press x valve, etc etc model 20391
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the clean water tank: Ensure that the clean water tank is not empty and is filled with warm tap water and the appropriate Bissell solution. The cap of the clean water tank should be properly closed.
Re-seat the water tank: Remove the clean water tank from the machine and then re-seat it back into the machine.
Check for clogs: There could be clogs in the system that are preventing the water from dispensing.
Check the pump motor: If the above steps don't work, there could be a more technical problem like a malfunctioning pump motor.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Bissell customer service or a professional for further assistance.
