You need to measure the opening in the cabinets and then find an oven close to those specifications. More than likely you will have to do some cabinet work as ovens generally are not the same size.

Built in ovens come in three standard widths, 24, 27 and 30.

Look at the installation guide in the link for a sears for the 24 inch and confirm the width of your opening along with the depth. Make sure the new does not exceed your dimensions..

The problem is usually in the height. There is a lip that extends outside the inside dimensions so the over all width and height need not to extend beyond you cabinet. You can jack up the bottom with spacers to minimize any upper gap.

Thank you for your post, friend!

I understand that your Tappan stove is coming on and off randomly. It sounds like a possible issue with the switches or control panel. I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hello devon, thank you for your post!

I understand that you need the location of a reset button on your Tappan range. Typically, there is not a reset button for your range. A reset can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hey friend, I appreciate your post!
I understand that seal on your Tappan wall oven has come off. In order to provide you additional information regarding the seal I would need your model number and serial number. You can locate the serial tag (which has your model number listed) on the front of the oven on the left side. With that information I could provide you additional assistance. I look forward to your response. -Matt

There is a possibility that the switch is not wired correctly or perhaps your selector knob is on upside down i have seen this before.

First, you can try a power-cycle. Unplug or turn off at the circuit breaker for 30-seconds or so. It may reset itself. If not, the lock motor may have stopped functioning and the door will need to be released manually. The lock arm is in the center of the door near the top. Use a piece of stiff wire bent at 90-degrees to give approximately 4 inches that can be slid behind the door at the right side and drawn across toward the left side. With the "crook" hanging down behind the top of the door you should be able to snag the arm. Push gently in on the door while maintaining tension on the wire toward the left. Release the door when you feel the arm move and the door should open.
