I am wireing an amp
The cd player should have a blue or a bluew/whitestripe wire that would be the turn on wire to use. If those colors don't exist, use the the power antenna wire. If you don't have any of those you can always use a switched twelve volt lead from the car like an accessory lead from the car.

Hi Sk,
Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S
Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Not used -
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green
= Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S
Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga
That ought to do it,
Mike

Trying to hook my amp
the car amp needs to be wired using a +12 power, ground, and +12v signal (rmt) cables.
the +12 volt cable needs to be connected from the posative terminal of the car battery to a fuse (the right size should be written on the amp somewhere) then to the +12v on the amp.
the ground cable needs to be connected to the negative terminal of your car battery.
the RMT is the more complicated one, this needs to be connected to the header unit or the ignition switch. if you look in the instructions for your header unit (the unict where you insert CD's or tapes etc) this should explain whewre exactly to connect this cable. or you can connect it to the terminal on the ignition switch which becomes live only when you turn the key, should be the third one in. this line basicly tells your amp to turn itself on when it recieves a 12v current. you can also wire it up to a manual switch directly from the battery by connecting another cable to the posative terminal of the battery then to a switch then to the RMT terminal of the amp.

Car amp re conecting the the battery
Hook up the battery, (the negative post) and then put the fuse in. This is the best choice because if you put in the fuse and then put the negative post back in and the wires slip when putting in the negative post, the fuse might blow due to the sparks. You will then need to get another fuse, which also mean sending more money.
