Thanks for understanding.
I have a akai 61 inch dlp tv, my son turned it off
I'm assuming that no lights are blinking on the front of the tv and the bulb is in god working order - it has been replaced recently. In that case the tv will have to be opened and the voltages on the power source tested, starting with the ones on the main switching transistor, followed by the ones on the output rails - a good voltmeter will have to be used. If all are there then check the voltage going to the
How do i pull out
Remove the four screws that hold the cover over the lamp compartment and take the cover off. There is a black plastic vent hood in the opening, At the bottom of the front rim of the hood there is a little tab. While pressing the tab gently pull the vent hood out of the TV. If you look up in the opening you will see the lamp housing. The There is 1 screw ont the left side frame, Turn the screw until it is loose. It doesn't have to (and probably won't) come all of the way out because its part of the lamp housing assembly. You'll see a wire that runs across the top, down the right side and under the housing. Grab the right side of the wire, its actually a handle to pull the lamp from the TV.
Was watching tv and just went completely quiet no
Sorry to say the AC cord is causing the problem. Heat is the enemy of electronics, and these sets operate hot. You might wish to unplug the TV for an hour or more. If this power reset does not allow the TV to turn on with sound and continue to operate component failure is indicated. These sets are assembled using the wave soldering process they are known for having cold solder connections. This model of TV has over 3,000 parts which include millions of transistors inside the integrated circuits. I suspect a problem with the audio circuit. The capacitors will change value, leak and become defective. Resistors will change value and burn. Integrated circuits and transistors can go bad. This can cause other components to become defective, which can have a domino effect and cause other parts to fail. Replacing one defective part may make the TV operate for a short time but the part will fail again since if the parts that caused the failure to begin with are not replaced. The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem, which parts that are no longer within factory specs and for proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment and the skills to use the test equipment. I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix or button to push that would fix the TV but that is not the case or the solution needed to get the TV operating correctly.
My tv turns for a couple of minutes then truns off

Mitsubishi tv keeps turning off.
Hello there please check the following in your tv;
Reset the component settings. Most problems with Mitsubishi projection televisions can be resolved by resetting the television to factory settings
If this does not work then a full system reset should be performed on the control panel by pressing the System Reset button. The television will turn off and the green LED light will flash quickly for a minute. When the light stops flashing, the TV will turn on.
If that still doesn't work, then the projection lamp might need replacing and here is how to do that;
Ensure that the bulb is completely cooled and the television is unplugged. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the lamp compartment cover. Unscrew the lamp cartridge on the rear of the television. As opposed to the cover door, these screws do not actually come out of their chamber and simply loosen the lamp assembly. Remove the old cartridge and insert the new one. Secure the lamp with screws, then replace the cover and screw in tightly.
Please note that, Finger oils can cause the lamp to malfunction.
Projection lamps are powered by mercury. Wash hands thoroughly after replacing the projection bulb.
GOODLUCK
There is a loud humming on my AKAI DLP PT61DL34
Most likely the color wheel is the problem. The color wheel is exactly what it sounds like, it is a wheel with multiple colors on it that spins at a very high RPM to produce the colors. When the bearings start to go, it starts to hum and will be very high pitched right before it breaks. Once it breaks, you will only see black and white images. It isn't that hard to replace for anyone who does general fix-it problems around the house, just make sure the tv is unplugged overnight before touching anything in it. You should be able to get a new color wheel through the manufacturer. Let me know how this works out for you. Benjamin
