Samsung SlimFit TX-S3082WH 30" TV - Page 2 Questions & Answers
I left my tv on
is the blurry all around the picture have different color like a smear of red, blue or yellow?
if it is i think the posistor of your tv is not working. it is the one who activate the degaussing coil around the picture tube the prevent color miss-landing upon opening your tv set.
Tv has no power, but
Clicking or cracking noise is a good indication the power supply is bad and needs replacing.
No power, just a small clicking sound?
hi,
we have a lot of problems with samsung tv's. if you can i would take it back and get another brand. if not do not remove that back it would void your warranty.
if you take it in for repair it will take about two weeks to fix.
the only really thing you can try is to unplug it for 5 mins and then plug it back in. this might reset the tv... but do not bet on it.
good luck :)
let me know if you need more info?

"NOT SUPPORTED MODE" when using my xbox 360
If you got that while playing it sounds like its your GPU melting... when the older xbox360s get hot the circuit starts to warp and sag in the middle.. the causes the GPU to seperate from the board which gives you wierd or no graphics... ppl suggest "the towel trick" wrapping you xbox in a towel to overheat it in hopes it will reconnect the GPU.. otherwise there is very little you can do.. just hope MS will repair it for you or buy a new one.. i have the same problem at the moment with my friends old one.. so im currently working on a solution.. will try and let you guys know if i find something that works...
Blown fuse
You can purchase it in any electronics shop, just tell them the rating Ex. 3Amp/240Vac you can see this rating at the cap of fuse.
I am using my xbox
no, there's no firmware upgrade that you can do on the tv. the reason for that is because you are sending digital sound to the tv with hdmi from xbox 360,and when you have rca cables connecting your tv and surround sound, the rca cables provide stereo sound. what you need to do if you want to use hdmi is connect optical cable from tv orxbox 360/ or tv to your surround sound to get digital sound, and it will sound better digital sound.
Samsung SlimFit TX-S3082WH Blurring on Left and Right Sides
your picture tubes is going bad. i've had 5 yes 5 of these tv's replaced by samsung/bestbuy. i've kept buying the PSP (product Service plan) now my most recent tv is doing the same. samsung no longer makes the picture tube for this model. i've already called them. it was a nice tv. i've gotten about 6 months out of each model. I'm moving on the LCD, nice rca 32 inch HDtv model at walmart for less than 500.00.
Blurry edges
I own the same model of tv and have owned it for over 1.5 years. I moved with it twice. I had this problem about a month ago. On both vertical sides the screen became very fuzzy, yet the center remained clear. When turning the tv off and on I also noticed very wierd red, green, and blue lines streaming across the screen before the picture comes up or after it fades. I found no solution or cause to the problem. But I had two "long-boy" speakers from my panisonic 5.1 surround sound system setup right next the tv on either side. I set the center channel on top of the tv with the receiver on the shelf below. I thought well maybe some how the speakers were cause some sort problem in the tv. I moved the side "long-boy" speakers from directly next to the tv to about 6" away and removed the center speaker from the top of the tv. After several days of normal use of this configuration, the tv turned like normal and the fuzzy edges were gone. The symptoms lasted for around two weeks, and the several days after I moved my speakers. My only guess is that without a deguassing feature, it took several days for the magnitism to return to normal after repositioning my speakers.
TV won't accept monitor input
Try changing your computers resolution to something much lower. Mode Not Supported is usually an error regarding the Display Resolution of the video card being set higher than the monitor is capable of handling.
Blurry Picture
This is normaly due to the focus bias volts being out of spec, and slowly drifting in to specs. This type of fault is usualy in the high voltage multiplier section that supplies the focus voltage, or in the focus circuit on the the CRT circuit board.
There is also a possiblity that the CRT is going weak, and it is taking some time for its emission to come up.
The TV service tech can do some tests to determine whre the fault actualy is.
Depending on the age, manufacture, and model of the set, would determine the price and availability for parts. If the CRT is the fault, then the set would not be worth to service.
