Amana Haier AP095R Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
Hello i got a AMANA
I have the Maytag version of this machine and the blinking triangle
light means the water tray is full. The machine won't operate until
that water has been drained -it's the little black tube with the plug
at the bottom behind the machine. Pull the plug, tip it down
(preferably with a shallow pan underneath to catch the water) and drain
as much as you can. Once you've done this, put the plug back in and it
should start.
I have an amana ap095r dont cool ?

AC sends out cool air,
if this is a window unit make sure the temp sensor bulb is in contact with the front coil it is under the filter connected with wire clips to the front coil and looks like a grey thick wire sometimes it has some of it covered with plastic. If it is in good contact and the unit is reasonably clean your themostat is bad and you will have to order a new one its the switch that selects a colder temp.
If you unit is a central air unit i will need more info
My Amana AP095R is leaking copious amounts of
not sure if it is a split or window unit if ti is a split unit it may be that the unit needs servicing and that the main drain pan has backed up depends on where it is leaking it can be the the secondary drain pan at the back of the unit that has two small ports that gets plugged up at times

If you stop and think about it, where is the humidity going from that evaporating water. Right back in your house maybe?
Amana APO95R Turning Off/Tank Light (!) On and Off
There are only two items that will shut it down after it is set to run. The bucket full which you took care of and low humidity in the area it is being operated in. Low humidity would not constitute a reason for returning it.
I'm not getting any code after installing a control board for my Amana ptac?
Does the power light come on?
If yes, then you can do a reset as below:
There is a master switch on the bottom left of the control board. Slide that to 'off' position.
Then press the hot and cold switch/key together and then slide the master switch back to 'on'.
Please put your response/observation here if that does not work or there is power light as asked on top.
Thanks
Amana PTH153B50AM PTAC where the heat runs intermittently.
i'm not familiar with your specific unit but ..sounds like an electronic gas value has gone bad or has a bad connection when that happened to my friend it wasn't that expensive to have it fixed .. BYW it acted like this for a while then stopped working completely
Amana Wall unit blows cold air before heating
The cold that you describe may be just unconditioned air? If you are certain you can hear the comp operating for a couple of minutes, and then the heat starts, I would guess it is a reversing valve issue if it's a heat pump and it probably is. Or the control board acting up. I've had a lot of issues with the boards in the Amanda PTAC units. I can't remember how to configure it, but if you Google "Amanda ptac configuration", there is a lot of info online. May try a reset method first. Hope this helps!
