Speakers

Are you sure it's the speakers? Try checking the volume controls and/or plugging another source of sound in the jack like earphones. Maybe it's not your speakers, but your sound card.

Dell Jukebox Rescue Mode Have read other posts but still need help

Back it up to a computer and do a full factory reset. I just read your question tagged onto an old post. You should not be using this device to store important class notes. It is so old it could fail at any time. Notice in the link what Dell says in the manual Whenever I turn my Dell DJ on, it starts up in Rescue Mode. Your Dell DJ's firmware or operating system may be damaged. Go to support.dell.com for the .. https://www.google.com/search?q=Dell+Jukebox+Rescue+Mode ..

I have Dell speakers, hp tower, I can't get sound out of speakers. Do I plug both the usb plug & speaker plug into tower?

If there is no separate power supply the usb plug must be used in order to provide power for the speakers, but whether the analogue cable must be plugged in or not will depend on the internal construction and specification of the speakers. I suggest you initially use the usb and if there is no sound and no on-screen instructions, plug in the analogue line. If there is a separate power supply the speakers are probably and either/or design.

My applications last only as long as I leave my computer on. How can I make them stick?

Is there a battery back up somewhere on your computer? It could have failed. Or at least something connected with it. It could be an electronic fault. Bad capacitors etc. I assume they have ruled out a virus?
