I believe you have a bad scanner block, probably cost as much to fix as buying a new one

replace the ink!

I finally located a phone numbe for the Brother-USA Sales Dept. (888-615-9119). The part was $4 plus shipping and handling ($10 total). It took a bit of doing for them to identify the part and determine the part number. I had to fax them a machine parts diagram from the MFC-8220 manual. Go figure.

With that model I believe you have to leave the toner door open and press start

Open the front door press and hold the reset key in.It will ask if the drum is replaced.select yes

You will need to take it in for service.

Machine Error A6 is an indication of a mechanical malfunction and the unit will require servicing.

Your brother can send faxes without printing the pages try your computer just you should download the driver.

About the lines which appear on the print, you will have to buy a Drum unit for your Brother 575, because the drum cleaning blade has quit working and there is no other way to fix this only by putting a new drum unit.

note:
the drum unit is different from the toner cartridge, but if you search good you can find them together for lower price.

When you open the frunt cover ther is a black hinge / leaver attached to the cover on the left hand side that disengages the drum unit drive, if this is disconnected / broken you will not be able remove the drum unit, an engineer may be required

any of the error 7X codes are to do with the fuser. Call an engineer

If you make a copy and it comes out 1/2 black then you have a bad scanner.

that code indicates that your laser unit has gone bad. no way to reset or repair without a tech replacing the laser unit itself.

Yes that worked!! I unplugged it, and kept the red stop button push in while plugging back in and it cleared it out! THANK YOU!

The a6 error is Scan Unable, So i assume your trying to scan something? Dont know how to fix it, But i figured id try to help by giving you the meaning to the error code.

when you open the front door to replace your toner. The part that you put your toner in is the drum unit. pull that out. Remove the toner cart. blow the unit out.
( DO THIS OUT SIDE, TONER WILL BLOW OUT OF THE DRUM UNIT )
On the top of the drum unit there is a blue or green slide lever move the lever back & fourth 15-20 times.
re blow out the machine with drum unit out.
Reinstall the drum,
make 5 copies ( 1st feow will be bad hope thay will get better )
If not need to determan if the drum is bad or the fuser asm is cuasing the problum.
( part that melts the toner on to the paper )
Need to do a 1/2 print test.
1. make a copie or do a report
2. when the paper is 1/2 way thrugh the machine but not in to the fuser open front cover.
( may need to tray a coupel of times to do ot right )
3 look at the paper see if marks are on the paper.
( If not then the fuser is bad. if the marks are there the drum is bad )
