I bought a Nespresso citiz
I would change brands. One question do you clean this machine on a regular basis? The nozzle is most likely clogged.

Aeroccino red light blinks during frothing.
I had similar problem. I would get blinking red light after 3 seconds of use but only with hot. The cold function worked fine. I googled how to repair this error but it seem everyone had different solutions. I opened up the unit to try to see what could be wrong with it.
1. Check if the metal springs are even. Try to bend them up more so they would touch the heating board better.
2. The heating board has 3 squares where the metal springs touch. Look if you notice any scratches on these squares. If you do it means when then engine starts it shakes too much and it shutdowns. (This was my problem) . I had too much movement between base plate and the plastic frame that holds the engine.
To fix this I used rubber band to make it hold it place. Then I also put in rubber shims where the base plate clicks onto frame that holds the mother board because when I was pressing the frame it still would wabble. ( I guess you could use glue to bond base plate and mother board frame for good.)
3. On the heating plate where the 3 squares are make sure the solder is connecting good to those squares. If it looks that there might be a break in the solder use iron to melt down solder where the connection is to the squares. You can also use a tool to check if connection is good between the squares and electricity goes thru it.
4. Clean your unit good and make sure there is no milk residue on the button of the jug. Clean it with soft cloth because if you scratch the bottom of the jug you might damage it for good.
These 4 problems where the most common ones I found when they had red blinking light errors. I hope this will help you to troubleshoot your unit.

It shuts off after 2 to 3 seconds and then starts flashing! Can you please tell me what is wrong? Thank you
Mine did the same. It would go to flashing red immediately after trying to start it. Fortunately for me, it was still one month before the 1-year warranty expired. I called and they replaced it within 2 days. I am told that Nespresso had a bad batch of thermal fuses and many were failing. That appears to be the case if you look at the reviews. It would be worth calling to see if they would do anything even if it is out of warranty. The manual that I downloaded from the internet stated a warranty period of two years so it is worth looking in your manual to see if you have a longer warranty period. I'm disappointed that Nespresso hasn't done a recall for all of the questionable units. Hopefully they will extend the warranty period for this specific issue because it is clearly a problem they engineered into the units. If you are a DIYer, you can find a YouTube video that shows how to open the bottom without breaking anything. The video shows the use of three handles off 2" paper binder clips and it worked easily. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a source to replace the thermal fuse which easily disconnects from the circuit board. For now I just have a source of spare parts for my replacement frother - especially the whisks which could easily get lost. Another suggestion I've heard is to unplug the unit whenever it is not in use so that the circuit board is not constantly receiving power. This is in contrast to the manual that says to unplug only when not being used for "long periods." That's all I know for now.

What are the parts of the central ''spinner'' of a milk frother?
There are no moving parts in the frother other than the whisk assembly. The whisk assembly is spun magnetically. I am not sure if it is possible to have the magnet in the whisk assembly in the wrong orientation, but if so, be sure that it is reassembled with the magnet side down. Additionally, if I haven't removed the whisk in a while (I normally just immediately rinse and wipe the interior with a cloth) then the metal stem can build up with milk solids... and cause the whish to "stick"... the magnetic force is not exceptionally strong and it could be that the plastic assembly is "sticking" on the metal post... pull off the whisk and give the post a good wiping with a wet cloth to remove any possible residue.

Red light on start bottom keeps blinking
There is one solution I can think of. Probably your thing is running out of battery, or it might be that the quality is bad. But if it's new you could always buy a new one or ask your neighbour, friends, family... Anyone, then they might also give you some ideas you could try.

Nespresso milk frother instructions
I had the same problem. From reading various sites it is clearly a common problem. Most suggest phoning Nespresso to get it replaced but one website suggested turning the machine upside down. Not the base, just the aeroccino. Leave it like this overnight and it resets itself. I don't understand how that works but I tried it as it was a weekend and wasn't going to be able to call the helpline till Monday. And it worked! I now have proper froth again. Other suggestions seem to be try never to get the underneath wet (I think leaving it upside down ensures this area dries out completely), don't leave it on the base when not using and certainly don't leave it on.
