There is a special type of pliers used for car's radiators clamps, you can buy them in most autoparts(they are sheep) You can use regular sliding adjustable pliers but I won't recomended it will be very hard to do it that way. Good luck Rodolfo Perez (RUDY)

Washer doesnt pump much water in and doent rinse

Hi Friend, this is Z. Thank you for allowing me to assist you! I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire washer, ATF7000E, and it is not filling with water or draining. Please confirm that the house valves are fully turned on. Otherwise, typically, faulty switch does not allow the valve inside to turn or a kinked fill hose. Other possibilities of more potential serious issues are water valve faults, faulty control board, pressure switch or wiring failure. If I was in your position, I will personally consult a professional to move forward accurately and assist with the repairs.

Why does my Affinity washer flash on front and then won't run? Model FAFW3511KRo

Good Afternoon Friend, that's a great question! Let's try resetting your washer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your washer. Confirm that the door is properly latched and try selecting a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further. Best of luck! - Z

Why does the frfgidaire affinity washer has foul oder ?

Good Morning Friend, I understand you have an odor in your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E. Please try cleaning the inside of your washer by trying the following: • Before cleaning the washer interior, unplug the electrical power cord to avoid electrical shock hazards. • Dry around the washer door opening, flexible gasket, and door glass. These areas should always be clean to ensure a water tight seal. • When extremely soiled items have been washed, a dirty residue may remain on the drum. Remove this by wiping the drum with a nonabrasive household cleanser. Rinse thoroughly with water. • The plastic drum vanes may become stained from fabric dye. Clean these parts with a nonabrasive household cleanser. This prevents dye transfer to future loads. To prevent the odor from coming back please try the following: • Remove items from the washer as soon as the cycle ends. Excess wrinkling, color transfer, and odors may develop in items left in the washer. • Periodically, wipe dry the bottom of the flexible gasket to remove lint and other debris. • If there are no small children present, leave the door ajar to prevent odor build up and to improve venting of the unit. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Frigidaire model gltf2940fs1 with no spin alert

From the way you have asked for a solution. Most people like myself are not qualified repair techs. Generally, by common sense or prior experience, we do the best we can. Since you have not added a possible error code. And even if there is one, most of them are confusing enough as to cause us to call a tech service. That said. In order of possibility. Three most common problems for washer not spinning. 1) Bad Control board. Cost; $190 +/-. 2) Bad or broken drive belt. Cost; $40 +/-. 3) Bad motor. Cost $200+/-. Thes parts can be purchased off the I'net. Alert!; Any of the three needs technical ability. My advice is to call your friendly qualified service department. Some say 2 days. Some say, if I can schedule you in to my work load. That locks you in to there system and you have to wait. I have had good luck with Sears Repair Service. If you utilize them go on the I'net and download their discount coupons for any appliance service calls and repair parts if needed. And they are generally faster than the competition. Good luck. (P.S., I do not work for or know any one who does work for Sears. Just impressed with their service capabilities and speed of response. )

E21 frigidaire affinity won't drain

Good Morning Friend, I understand you are receiving an E21 code on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, and it is not draining. The E21 code can possibly mean that the water is not draining out fast enough. Please check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Also, make sure that your home's drain pipes are not clogged as well. This could also be a false code. Try resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Fabric softener dispenser/how to clean

Good Morning Friend, I understand you want to know how to clean the fabric softener dispenser from your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF7000ES. To remove the drawer and clean the dispenser, please do the following: • Remove the drawer by pulling it out until it stops. • Reach back into the left rear corner of the drawer cavity and press down firmly on the lock tab (left rear portion of the drawer). Pull out the drawer. • Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. • Rinse the drawer and inserts with hot tap water to remove traces of accumulated powders and liquids. Large amounts of fabric softener residue may indicate improper dilution or more frequent cleaning is required. • To clean the drawer opening, use a small brush to clean the recess. Remove all residues from the upper and lower parts of the recess. • Replace the insert pressing the "X" to lock it in place. Return the dispenser drawer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. How do you resest the normal wash cycle

You can't. The newer machines are programmable and only authorized techs and companies have the programmers. Usually a computer or hand held device. Possible that the problem can be delayed a day or two if a laundromat is close by or a friend's or relative's washer can be utilized. If you try to do it you are liable to have to by a new machine @ $700-$1400. Call your local trusted repair company. Call the purchase site at the least. Sometimes we feel that the procedure is a craps shoot. Don't despair. I have had good luck w/Sears.

Door lock mechanism replacement

1) Will follow with reason to get hold of company or person who did prior repair. 2) Not familiar with this one. 3) When people more specific then help is a lot easier. 3a) That being said; Hopefully that you have a fix it warranty. Large home appliances can pay off. 4) My problem was with a Whirlpool top loader. (The newer type with the 4" high impeller.) Machine made noises and had an error code which couldn't be reset. (Powered machine off/on a coupe of times.) Plus the clothes were always soaked and needed to be hand wrung to dry. Couldn't see why as the lid latch prevented opening to watch progress of cycle. (Development of the newer technology.) Had purchased the washer at Lowes. (And for once the extra warranty. A friend's suggestion.) 14 mos. after new the problem occurred. Called Lowes. A repairman came out and being as he had had repetitive faults he went under the machine and tightened the motor's hub nut which was lock washered. 5 days later the problem re-occurred. Called Lowes. They sent a different repair tech next day. This one did the same repair but added a substance (Loc Tite) before he tightened the nut. Loc Tite goes on as a paste or gel then semi hardens to form a lock washer effect by preventing the nut from backing off. That on top of using a new nut and lockwasher. Repair was done a year ago and is still good. 5) See #1. Call the repair company or tech. Hopefully your repair is less than a year old. Not all repairs or techs are equal!
