I got this from another page here:

I figured out how to remove the headphone clip without causing cosmetic damage to the headphone casing. Unfortunately for me, this was after I had scratched up the casing already. Anyway, to avoid the cosmetic damage, use some kind of plastic tool, like a plastic spoon. After pulling off the headphone cushion, you will see the aforementioned 4 slots. Carefully slip the handle end of the spoon underneath one of the slots(not through them), and apply gentle pressure toward the center of the speaker. Do this for each of the 4 slots, and the tabs should easily come loose. Hope that helps. As for figuring out how to get the headphone to work, I'm waiting for that solution myself. The right headphone is out, but the left one works, none of the wires are loose, so the damage must be from my nephew being careless with the headset cable, and probably tugging on it once too often. Don't let your 15 year olds use your headsets, if they tend to be clumsy :)

I use a Optical Trackman from Logitech and have foound that the contacts on the left click get dirty and won't work right or work partially. Especially frustrating when trying to highlight or shoot on FPS games. I took mine apart, just the housing , the electrics stay , and cleaned as well as I could , then blow it out with canned air. Got mine working again. My guess would be dirt or that button is worn out. Logitech has discontinued many of the Trackballs so a replacement may not be possible

The compartment door is on top of the mouse under the logo where your palm will rest, if you turn the mouse over there is a button designed to pop open the battery compartment door. If that does not work you will place a flat screwdriver above the logo & under the buttons, don't force your toon into the button but pry the logo piece up and towards you it should pop right out.

Hi! If this is a laptop? Pull the battery for about 1 hour.

I would not try and open it. Try this.

With the keyboard upside down, clean the sticking keys with lots of hot soapy water, depressing the key as you wash them. Keep doing this for a couple of minutes, forcing water into the edges of the keys. Rinse, still upside down. Dry upside down and then leave in a warm place like an airing cupboard overnight.
