Check all +/- from power supplies. It can be as easy as a fuse. I just had one were F601 and F602 fuses were broken. If this happens it is most likely due to bad solder joint on the diode bridge D601. These compontens are all seated on the board closest to the main transformer, on the left side seen from front side.

I have done an update in the past/ ONE Thing/ you do not attempt to do an update at the same time you download the firmware update.
You always download the update/ Open/ Read the instruction and follow them as directed.
An Yes/ it is possible that you might be doomed/ but I would go back/ Download the update with out being connected to the reciever/ Open the download/ Make a folder for it to uncompresse to. Choose that folder when prompted as to where it is sent when uncompressing.
Then go to that folder and READ EVERYTHING FIRST. There is a folder in there that is named to read first.
Once you have read it/ you will see that it is easy to do/ and see your mistake.
I believe that if you try it again, (even though your reciever info is screwed up) it will take the full update.
Sorry about the caps/ I am not trying to yell or what every they say about caps. It just is really important to read everything first. If you don't think you understand what you read/ Read it untill you do understand it. Do more research until you do.

Avr 745 HDMI only output 1080i not 1080p. Your PS3 is capable of 1080p. You have to adjust your PS3 to 1080i then your screen will work. I hope Harman will come up with the upgrade for HDMI that can output 1080p otherwise you have to suffer or stuck with 1080i. Hope this will solve your problems.

Another way to solve this rear speakers problems is to go to the equalizer and have the system recognizes the sound coming out of all speakers. The AVR 745 comes with a microphone on the stick, using that to run the manual equalizer. It is the manual equalizer will set the rear speakers.

There is no battery to fix this issue. There is a Back Up capacitor that serves this function. Nor a DIY repair. If you require more assistance, or would like to inquire about repairing your HK, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com and contact me there.

Yes, either the internal contacts to the speaker wires are broken or (most likely) the amplifier circuit has failed and you will have to replace it.
It's a complex job that only an experienced repairman should do.

Hello, Daniel -

I suggest you contact JPay directly (via a telephone call). This is the link to the JPay Contact information:

I believe you will need to send the JPay 5 to JPay with a check to cover the unlocking fee. JPay will send the unlocked JPay 5 back to you.
