Denon AVR-1507 Receiver - Page 2 Questions & Answers
When i go to put it in zone 2 mode for my speakers
Review the manual to see if it has an automatic safety shut-down. It's possible that your 'speakers outside' have a short or are grounding somehow, and that the system is switching itself off in order to not damage itself.
Alternatively the resistance on the speakers may be too far outside of the per-channel specification for your speakers. Keep in mind that the length, thickness and material of your wires will add resistance in addition to the speakers' own resistance.
Try connecting a different pair of speakers (such as the ones closer to the receiver that normally work) to Zone 2, and see if it works fine. If it does, try bringing the outside speakers inside and use the same cables as for the working speakers. If they then work, you can know that something is wrong with your wiring to the outside speakers, and you will need to get a qualified electrician or audio technician/engineer in to replace the wiring for you.

Hello
Can you see any error codes??
I know that some receivers turn off to prevent overheating damage.
Have you checked to see if all the fans are running at full speed?
Even some dust particles in the unit itself, or on the fans may cause the fans to run at a lower angular velocity, which will prevent sufficient cooling of the unit.
Let me know if you have checked this, hope this can steer you in the right direction.
Kind regards
Andrea

Sure, if you want to hear Surround Back program material coming from the subs without midrange or tweeters. (Sarcastic) Of course, the LFE program material will still be going into a black hole somewhere.
Run the subs in series with each other -
Sub Amp negative to 1st speaker negative;
1st speaker positive to 2nd speaker negative;
2nd speaker positive to amp positive.
Run the speaker level adjustments routine and enjoy.
Just for giggles, try what you were thinking about. You won't hear much from the sub(s) unless you programmed the Surround Back channel as full-range and then have something like the Apollo 13 launch for program material. Normal audio won't send much low-frequency material to those channels. The optimal place for subs is on the LFE or sub channel.
Is there any way you can connect two subwwofers to this receiver?
Certainly... the easiest way is to purchase an RCA Y adapter to split the pre-out subwoofer connection to both subs.
Here's a link to what you need: (Best Buy)
http://tinyurl.com/ctp44jThis will not, however, give you a discrete left and right sub. You'll need a receiver with 7.2 capability to do that.
Make sure the phase is set the same on both subwoofers, or they'll cancel each other out and you'll end up with less bass than you had before with one sub.
If this answers your question, would you rate it for me?
Power won't stay on
This could be a major problem in the power transistors or closely related. Recommend service by a technician
Replacement parts
This is not likely to be a generic part. You need to contact Denon for this. Realize that it won't be cheap. Figure the cost to be $75-$100.

2 zone setup
Consult the user manual. If you don't have one, it can be downloaded free at Denon's website. Two of the speaker oututs serve multiple functions. Hookup and setup need to be checked. What you want to do is possible as long as you're only using a 5.1 setup indoors.
Problems with Ext ins staying on
Check your user manual. Many Denon receivers have a reset function that returns every thing to the default factory settings. If you still can't change the input, professional service will be required.
Size of fuse for Denon dra 697
The Denon DRA-697CI stereo receiver typically uses a 250V, 2.5A fuse. However, it's always a good idea to consult the user manual or check the label near the power input on the device itself to confirm the exact fuse size and specifications for your particular model. Using the correct fuse size is important for safety and to prevent damage to the receiver. If you're unsure, you can also contact Denon customer support for assistance.
