Do you mean blurry, like toner isn baked, or ...
If yes, dispite the good conditions of fixing roller, you may want to replace bushings of fixing rollers too. Because they do not generate enough pressure.

How blurry? Like toner can be wiped of or like the letters are verry light?

Did you check pressure between fixing and pressure roller, it could be the bad bushing that causes the problem.

If they are very light, clean optics.

Delete the printer and reinstall the driver. Get the latest driver from www.canon.com/support that works with your operating system.

Yes, if one of the switches in the paper path is trapped in the down position.

Sounds like a bad power supply. The clicking is a solid state relay coming on, but it's either not putting out anything from there (ac 120v power supply) or the DC power supply is bad. Not a user fix...sorry! Call a qualified service tech anytime you are dealing with power issuses!

The paper feed system is worn (rollers, and separation pad). What is happening, is extra sheets are being fed into the machine primarily because the separation unit is not doing it's job properly. So rather than just one page at a time being fed, it is allowing an extra sheet to "creep" in intermittently, causing the jam. And the indicator you are seeing is the "jam" indicator.

The machine optics are probably dirty and needs to be cleand. You can try to take out the drum unit and locate a small glass strip that sits above the drum in the frame of the machine. if you can find it, try to clean it and this should help some without taking the machine apart.

Canon PC170... | Answered on Jun 07, 2009

in this situation only two things i am aware of that can cause this prob... 1 bad developer unit, or the drum for the machine has done its time

Canon PC170... | Answered on May 29, 2009

Just fyi, a Canon PC-6e is a copier that is about ten + years old of a model... The drum unit will make the copies better.... But, you most likely need to clean the optic's. Have you tried to make the copies lighter??? If I am correct, there is a small botton on the control pannel that will turn... It will make the copies light one way and darker the other way... Good Luck

What OS do you have? Please add the update version for Windows 10. The drivers are still available from Canon here: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/i-series/i9900?tab=drivers_downloads for supported OS versions. It looks like the printer used Windows Update for to install most of the drivers under Windows 7. There is an optional update for the driver on the site but it doesn't work unless Windows Update installed the basic driver. The Canon didn't officially support the printer for any OS after Windows 7.

The Windows 7 driver worked under 8 (8.1) and some versions of Windows 10 for a while. (Under Windows 8, the ZoomBrowser software didn't work.) Then Microsoft became strict about not allowing unsigned drivers to install. The easiest solution is to find an old Windows 7 computer to connect to the printer. Alternatively, get an unused install license and build a virtual machine to connect to the printer. Note: recent cumulative updates for Windows 10 have caused issues with USB printers.

If you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, try connecting the printer via the USB port with the machine off. The restart the computer; make sure that the Windows Update is set to find updates for other devices (not just Windows). If you are using the printer over a network, some found using the Canon ProMark 9000 series drivers worked.

I hope these ideas help. I wish that I had better news for you about Canon support.

(Building a virtual machine OS depends on your CPU allowing virtualization and free memory. You also need the Windows Pro or Enterprise versions of the OS for Hyper-V (Windows 10) or the Windows 8 VM equivalent. Third-party tools for creating a virtual machine may work on the home edition.)

The following steps will help to fix this issue:
  1. Get a lint free cloth, rubber gloves (so toner doesn't get on your hands), some isopropyl alcohol, and a soft paint brush and gently clean any rubber rollers you can easily reach.
  2. With a vacuum hoover out any loose toner particles.
  3. With a lint free cloth very gently wipe the transfer belt (not all printers have one).
  4. If all else fails, you may need to replace the transfer rollers / transfer belt.
Warning: make sure you wear gloves and don't touch the transfer belt film with your fingers or the hoover, you could leave a mark that will cause additional print problems.
