I've lost my measureing cup, how much water do I

You need to put in just over 2 full large spoons (table spoons) of water. The manual is calling for 2 1/2 tablespoons. Just as long as you are close to this you will be fine. Here is a copy of the manual just in case you need one as well. Before you go though please be sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do this.

Thanks, here is the manual:

Back to Basics TEM-500 toaster no longer heats up

We have the same problem after only about 20 uses. The customer service number is 1-800-688-1989...we may be able to get it replaced. If they aren't willing to do anything, I'm thinking of filing a complaint with our state Attorney General because there are SO MANY complaints of the SAME, idential problem from thousands of consumers!!!!

The egg eliment doesn't work.

There is both a relay and a thermal fuse on the egg heater circuit. Could be either of them.

Unfortunately this is the sadddest part of our enviourment problem but the best part for the economic boom. Unless the unit is discarded the companies cannot surrvive.Hence most of the models are scrapped for no reason to make way so that the product sale continues.
If by cleaning the relay the fault can be rectified , try to do it with a good contact point/switch cleaner.
If the relay coils are damaged, the use an external relay if a similar type is not available.
the last option is to source one from a damaged set, sets discarded for coil failure etc..Try to salvage this part from old service shops, junk yards or second hand dealers.
Hope you find my tip helpful.

Paula Deen toaster egg poacher caught on fire

The same thing happened to me today and I've been searching the internet for other complaints. It happened exactly as you said, I heard a buzzing noise and went to see what it was and it was the toaster- smoke started to come out from the top. Please report your experience to the CPSC! http://www.cpsc.gov/index.html This thing needs to be recalled!

Ignore the instruction manual. Instead look at the measuring cup that comes with your Hyundai PLU 247959 (produced and sold under license by Poundstretcher). On the side of the measuring cup, you can see three clusters of marks:1. 25 to 40 ml for soft-boiled eggs (symbol of egg with two horizontal lines)2. 45 to 60 ml for medium boiled eggs (symbol of egg with one horizontal line)3. 65 to 80 ml for hard boiled eggs (symbol of egg)Egg boilers are based on the principle that the larger the volume to be heated is, the less water is required. In other words, you will need to add less water for boiling seven eggs, and more water for boiling one or two eggs.Which means that for seven eggs to soft boil, add 25 ml; and for one egg to soft boil, add 40 ml. If you look at the markings, you'll notice that on the vertical line between 40 and 25 ml, there are seven equidistant horizontal lines, each showing the amount of water required for the various quantities of eggs. One egg = fill with water up to the 40 ml markTwo eggs = fill up to the mark below the 40 ml markThree eggs = fill up to the second mark below the 40 ml markFour eggs = fill up to the third mark below the 40 ml mark etc, untilSeven eggs = fill up to the 25 ml markMedium boiled and hard boiled eggs are measured in similar ways. Works every time for me. Nice little egg boiler, by the way.
