I found the VX560 owners manual, however they wan't $9.26 for it. The link above is same.

Question edited for clarity, it's a 'Brother' not your brother. ;>) That isn't the Model number, it is the Serial number. There is help here. Brother will tell you what your machine is from the serial number and will also supply a new foot control. Always caused by incorrect tension, top or bottom.

Difficult to say. You may have to start out by replacing the parts that you know were damaged and then work from there.

Check the Reverse Switch (just below the Stitch Selector) to see if it is or has returned to the UP Position. If you can't press it Down it may be stuck or broken. You may have to take it to a repair shop.
