Hi I have a uniden um455 vhf. but the last time I have turned it on it is stuck on channel 16 or does a tri search function but all the buttons don't work except the transmit and distress button.

Press scan then press key pad numbers to enable banks. All of your programmed frequencies may have been erased.

Whatdoes do1 stand for in front of the number on my uniden uhf
An older uniden for a frequency range between 100 and 199 mhz may expect you to interpret the frequency being shown as 1 followed by other digits on your display. For example a frequency of 145.350 may expect you to mentally add the printed "1" and digits 45350 giving the total frequency. This saved the manufacturer from having to purchase another digit to display the frequency since it is always 1 to start with.

Uniden um415 radio I can talk but I can’t hear
Have you tried using an external speaker? If you are using one, try disconnecting it and see what happens. If you can't hear anything after these easy tests, you have something wrong inside that needs looking at by a qualified technician. Believe me when I say there is nothing that you can do to repair this problem if it is internal to the radio.

I have new Uniden Bearcat bct 15x scanner that will not pick up the frequencies I enter. It does however pick up the weather frequency. Can you help?
Without knowing the frequencies, it is hard to diagnose. If you are trying to listen to police, fire, govt freguencies, the transmissions are scrambled or use split multiple frequencies. You will not be able to receive any voice without the key. If channel jumping is used, you will only hear a veryquick burst of audeo if you are lucky enough to be listening to the correct fequency asthe signal travels by onto the next frequency.

Have a Uniden BC 140. Scanner will play if you stay on the channel. In scan mode it will not.
not sure if i am right in saying this,but when in scan mode you wont hear anything until if finds a channel that there is something going on then it will stop on that channel. please let me know if this is what you are asking.

Hi,I am trying to program local frequencies into my Uniden Bearcat BC75XLT scanner and I get an error message. What am I doing wrong?
Often I found a scanner needed all the positions to be filled. My older Bearcat did. For instance 151.575. Perfectly fine, yet the scanner would not save it. If I put 151.57500 in, it takes it every time. Go figure! If that did not fix your question, please ask again.

Uniden Washington transmit on am and lsb but nothing on usb?
if it transmits on AM and LSB then it should transmit on USB . You will need two devices, a spectrum analyzer and an oscilloscope. If you don't have them then take it to a tech to get it fixed.

I have a Barjan Noise Cancelling power mic 4 pin. Colors are Shield, Black, Red and Yellow, have no idea which is what other than shied is ground. Need to wire to a Uniden PC76XL
check it out first . try it on the 76 and see if it works most but not all 4 pins work with other radios other then the one you want it to.
