Is a kenwood kdc 135 have a aux. for ipod
Look on the back to see if there is an auxilary socket plus on the front of the unit, is there an aux button to allow an input from an auxilary device. If you dont have a manual I would go to Kenwoods web site and enter in the model and see if you can download a user manual.

Check your wires to make sure they're not crossed. follow them all the way back to the radio if you have to. when it comes to subs, you have to get it right with how you connect your possitive and negative especially coming out of the amp. if you have rca's connected from the radio to the amp, then check the output to your subs from the amp to the subs, make sure theyre wired correctly. if you used your stereo wires for input to your amp, then make sure those wires are positive with positive and negative with negative. also make sure you have them hooked up to rear output only. don't use one rear and one front.

Unfortunately you have a short in your speaker wiring then, the thing this is doing is preventing the current from running threw the speaker wires. when the wires are touching each other or ground they are shorting out the circuit.
to prevent overload the system actually shuts the voltage off to the speakers and the head unit locks up with error codes. check that you did not use electrical tape and that the connection has become undone, current always finds the path of least resistance.
so it is flowing to ground in your case. possibility a wire may have rubbed against a metal component and wore the shielding on the wires protective casing.
one other possibility is that something like the yellow wire known as the clock memory wire, was connected to a dimmer control circuit. this would explain the problems your having, but the most likely cause is the bad wiring issue.
good luck with it.and thanks for using Fixya.
