What i need to activate the bluetooth on my jvc kw
To activate your bluetooth phone you'll need to connect the KS-BTA200 adapter I have the same radio with the adapter and love it. You pair the phone with the radio so when you get a call it mutes the unit the phone number shows on the video screen you tap the number on the screen to accept the call, you mount the mic on the visor and talk .

Use only 1 RCA - as each time you split your signal - so too does the voltage. If your head unit gives a 2V audio signal - and you split it, you are only amplifying a 1 volt signal now.
Its a little dirtier, and makes your amplifier work less efficiently when you divide it.

No Sound when playing CD or DVD
Hi, in the menu check that the output is set correctly for dvd playback. ie not through the preout for an amp. It is possible for the unit to be set up to play surround sound for dvd's. Worth a try?
The touchscreen is not responding
Here's what I have founf. I too have had this same issue and it's because I cleaned the screen with an amonia based cleaner (Windex), I should have known better.
So I remove the motorized unit, tore it apart and completely dried everything out using a hair dryer on low heat. I then returned it to the vehicle and it workjed perfectly fine.
I can not play cds, radio and tape ok but cd does
you can try a cleaning disc , but it probably will not read that either so manually cleaning the laser lens would then need to be done , then if it still does not read there may be a problem with the focus on the lens or ,the laser is out , which then the laser mech. would need to be replaced.

Usb portable drive problem
The unit shows "cannot play usb device" when ever I put an external drive to it... in the Manual it states that it will not read anything more 10 gb but I have seen on you tube where people plug in 300 GB + but they do not say what type of drive it is. does anybody know what drive works with this unit?
Jvc kw-avx800 divx upgrade
go to ur settings. you will find a divx code. with that code you have to log on to the internet and sign up. with that code you enter it (following the instructions) then you will recieve the update, with that update it will ask you to save it to disc or removable storage device. once saved, plug it into ur jvx deck and it should update automatically.
No sound comes out of the left pre outs
It sounds like the preamp wire that carries the left channel signal between the HU and the 2ch amp has an issue. Here's two quick things to check.
- Check that both ends of the left preamp cable between the deck and 2ch amp is not loose or disconnected.
- Swap the left and right preamp connections at the amp. If the issue stays with the left channel, the issue is with the amp. If the issue moves to the right channel, the issue is with the preamp cable or the HU's preamp output.
