I have a 61.5 system with lagacy receivers, can I

Yes! You can definitely upgrade one of your legacy receivers to a DVR-625 receiver. I would be more then happy to assist you with this upgrade, if you decide you would in fact like to do so. In addition, since we have migrated from the 61.5 satellite orbital (no longer use 61.5), we may need to also upgrade your current satellite DISH. In order to determine what EXACTLY will be necessary for you to upgrade your system, I would need to take a look at your DISH Network account. If you'd like me to look into this further for you, please feel free to contact me directly with your information. My e-mail is [email protected]. I hope this helps & hope to hear from you soon!

Error message 24 - DVR not available

The 024 message means the hard drive itself is having problems functioning correctly. Try a hard reset where you unplug the receiver for 10-15 seconds and plug back in. If the problem persists a replacement may be necessary.

Dvr box wont record

Are you able to access any of your previous recordings?

Try unplugging the receiver for 10-15 seconds and plug back in. The receiver will reboot itself for you and should restore functionality of the DVR. If that doesn't work the hard drive has likely failed and we would need to send a replacement receiver.

Only green light on

shanonl,

If the lights will not turn on, try unplugging the receiver from the electrical outlet for about 10 seconds. Plug the receiver back in, which will make the receiver reboot and re-acquire satellite signal. If the receiver does not turn back on, at least the green and amber lights on, we may need to replace the receiver.

Guest,

I would check the connections from the receiver to your TV to make sure you have a secure connection. I you have already done so, you can unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet and leave unplugged for 10 seconds. Plug the receiver back in after 10 seconds. After it reboots and re-acquires the signal, try the Sirius channels. If you still have the same problem, we may need to replace the receiver.

Reciever constantly powers on and then off again

ryantrulling,

If the receiver is powering off/on, there may be an issue with the power supply. Have you unplugged the receiver from the electrical outlet? If not, unplug for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will reboot the receiver and have it reacquire the satellite signal. If the lights do not illuminate after plugging the receiver back into the electrical outlet, please call 1-800-333-3474. We need to replace the receiver.

How do I cancel program.

britstew2,

It sounds like you have timers setup to record on the 625 receiver. To delete the timers, press the DVR button on your DISH remote 2 times. This brings up the "My Recordings" screen on the TV. On the right side of the screen are several buttons. Move to the "Schedule" button and press select. This takes you to all the timers on the receiver. Go to the first timer you want to delete and then press select on the remote. Now you are on the "Timer Event" screen. Move to the button "Timers" and press select. Now you are at "Timer Schedule". Move to the button "Delete" and press select. This will delete that timer. You need to do these steps for all timers you want to delete. I hope this helps.

How do I get closed captioning on my 625 dish dvr....

Guest,

The 625 receiver does not have a setting to control closed caption. This is a setting from your TV itself. I would look at your TV manual to see how you can turn the feature on. I hope this helps.

This message indicates that a password was setup to lock the front panel buttons on the receiver. To unlock, the password should be entered. If you can't remember your password, you can call 1-800-333-3474 to have the password reset. It usually takes 1 to 2 hours to reset. I hope this helps.

I can't pause or rewind my moveie

fktrejo,

When you try to use the DVR features, do you get an error message (024 or 311)? Have you unplugged your 625 receiver yet? If not, unplugged the receiver for about 10 seconds and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and acquire satellite signal. When the picture comes back on, try to pause. If it still doesn't work, we may need to replace the 625 receiver. I hope this helps.

If you are still experiencing problems with your 625 receiver performing live DVR functions, try unplugging the receiver for about 10 seconds and plugging back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and acquire satellite signal. After the picture returns, then try to pause. If it still doesn't work, then we may need to replace the receiver. I hope this helps.

Unhooked all lines in back of tv cant remember to rehook up have2

granmabj,

There are common connections to each receiver but there are unique connections also depending on the receiver. Solo receivers have a coax cable coming from the Dish outside connected to Satellite In. Duo receivers and DVR HD receivers have the coax cable that comes from the dish outside that connects to Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 using a splitter. There is also a cable (coax, RCA (yellow, white, red) or component (green, blue, red - video, white, red - audio) or an HDMI if HD) connected from the receiver to the TV 1. For a duo receiver TV 2 may be backfed on the cable coming from the dish outside using diplexers. This may sound confusing but you can call 1-800-333-3474 for assistance.

When using remote for the DVR there is a 10 second

Hi cadroste there is a few simple solutions to what's goingon. The first thing you want to make sure the batteries are no older than 60days. Then you want to make sure if there were any changes to the room there isno interference such as computer tower or florescent lighting. As well if it ison TV2 you want to make sure the Remote Antenna on the back of the receiver is screwedin hand tight. If it is the 2nd TV you may need to add a booster cable to theback, it will boost the signal to the 2nd TV. The last thing you will want todo is reprogram the remote, I will send a link showing how to do that.

My DISH Network DVR-625 DTV

ambrekulas,

I am sorry you are having problem with your picture freezing. You said you reset the receiver several times. Did you press the power on the receiver and release or did you unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet? Try unplugging it for about 10 seconds if you haven't already done so. If the problem persists, we'll need to replace the receiver. If you have any other questions, please post to this site.

Hd-Fox T2 Displays InSt how do I get to

Hi geroncolm my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network. The dual HD receivers allow for TV1 to show in standard and high definition. On the TV2 it will show in SD format only, even if the TV is a HDTV. We do have System Wizard and you will need to be in front of TV1 and hold down the 0 button on the remote for 10 seconds, it will enter the system wizard. Once you enter System Wizard it will allow you to reformat the remote.
