Impeller loose on pump motor shaft
The bore in the impeller is spun out. Mix some JB Weld and apply a liberal amount to the bore of the impeller, install it back on the motor shaft and rotate the shaft a 1/2 turn to distribute the weld before cure. Originally the impeller was a press fit. Don't allow food to get sucked into the pump, lock down and damage to the impeller will occur

No power seen at controls.
We had the same problem less than a year after we got ours. After two visits from the repairman, and a better business bureau complaint, they finally told us that there was a small opening on the inside of the door that allowed steam to escape into the area where the main circuit board is housed, causing it to short out. Replacing the circuit board and running a bead of silicone along the gap solved the problem. Hope that helps some!

Will not drain water
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My Dishwasher starts as usual,,,fills with water
Check the user guide manual. If resetting procedure is shown, follow it.
Otherwise the problem is with micro controller board. You have to contact the service provider as this is a computer program related fault.
If mechanical timer is used you can try cleaning them. But I doubt as the mechanical timers are no longer in use for the past few years.
Hope your incoming mains voltage is as per the recommendations!
110 V or 220 V as per your country standards.
Some times voltage fluctuations causes this problem. Should not be less than 10 % in any standard.

Cloudy Dishes
The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get their new product. It filters the water and takes out the hard minerals that cause spots and clog dishwashers. It is very affordable and has a money back guarantee.

Black residue
Maybe a ruber washer is breaking apart, But my advise is take the inside apart clean and inspect it and then test it.

I have water leaking from bottom of dishwasher
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. If you have nuisance water leaks around the base of your
dishwasher, you may be using a detergent that is causing too much suds. Cut
back on the amount of detergent you use, and see if that makes a difference.
Water
that spills through the door vent is usually caused by improperly loading
dishes. Leaks from the door itself may be caused by a faulty door gasket or
door tightness adjustment. You should check the main tub seal, the door latch,
the door gasket, the water-inlet valve, and the fill and drain hoses.
Also make sure the dishwasher is sitting level (you can adjust the front feet
up or down, and many units have some type of levelers at the rear).
Water under the dishwasher may be originating from a leaky hose or loose hose
connection. Remove the lower front panel, and check the hoses. The pump seal
may be defective, too; replacing this is a job for an appliance repairperson.
An older dishwasher may corrode at the bottom, but this is fairly uncommon. If
this is the case with your dishwasher, it's time for a new one.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or
else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

Bottom sray spinner doesn't spin. Computer and
Make sure that the spray bar when lifted by the water pressure is NOT hitting the dish rack OR has excessive friction. Test by manually lifting and turning.
Also the jets must exit at an angle to provide the torque.

I have a adb2200awb amana dishwasher which leaving
This is a classic sign of too much detergent. Are you only using one tablet? Too low of a washing temperature could also be your culprit. Dishwasher detergent needs to be washed with at least 120 degree water. Check to make sure your supply is hot (if it's plumbed to intersect with your faucet, just check faucet hot water supply temp). I'm not sure why you're running it on a two hour cycle, dishwashers can generally do the job in about 40 minutes. The grit is probably because there are food particles in your food trap. Make sure the food filter beneath the spray arm (if equipped) is clean and check the lowest areas for food scraps.

Does not wash properly
easy test i came up with. take 5 coffee cups place them on the top rack upright. one in each corner and and one in the middle. do this after the dishwasher has started a cycle and is full with water. with the cups in place let the dishwasher run for one minute. then open the dood. the cups should be mostly full. if not, there is either not enough water or you have a pump problem.
