I have a Work-A-Round so that the end result will provide both sound and
Video using the LifeCam NX-6000 with Windows Live on a
Windows Vista ULtimate 64 bit system, please post your system if
this solution works for you.
I guessed that the error messages, the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, and
a long list of conflicts that I discovered with this camera shown that
the sound was conflicting with the video.
Overview
I used manycam for the video and I configured Windows Live to handle sound.
I assume that you can get it to work as long as you split the video and sound
on two different programs.
What I did
I installed the vista driver
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=ICE&type=Webcams&name=NX6000&os=WVista_32&lang=en
I installed windows live 8.1 (I did configure until after ManyCams)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d78f2ff1-79ea-4066-8ba0-ddbed94864fc&displaylang=en
I installed ManyCams
ManyCam Virtual Webcam 2.3.21
http://www.download.com/ManyCam-Virtual-Webcam/3000-2348_4-10593500.html
Configuration
I started ManyCams and configured it to (optionally start on boot) and to
USE LIFECAM NX-6000 as the source.
I then started Windows 8.1 Start > Tools > Audio and Video setup
and configured it to use my
(1) speakers for output sound (Realtek HD Audio) [next]
(2) Microphone Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000 [next]
(3) ManyCam Virtual Webcam [finish]
Reboot, start ManyCam and then start Windows live.
If your still having issues, you may try to disable this service and try again
using the following instructions.
start -> run -> services.msc
then go to
Messenger Sharing Folders USN Journal Reader service
click on proprieties and disable it
Ok, thats is what I did and I truly hope that it helps you.
