I'm afraid, there is no region code hack for Samsung HT-TWZ312

thought I was going to get a response from FixYa - your website said queries answered with no charge - if I had wanted the premium service I would have gone straight for it but as there was no hurry I decided to go for the other option, it does not appear I will receive a solution from you and have therefore taken my unit back to the Samsung service centre for repair.

but please try the following code may be works>>

1. Remove disc from tray. 
2. Switch off player and unplug from mains. 
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect mains. 
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'. 
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.) 
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.) 
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off. 
8. Turn player on. 
9. Turn off. 
10. Turn player on then off again. 
11. Player is now region-free.

Your systemn is designed and built to perform 2.1 sound. If you want 5.1 sound you can do 2 things, connect another pair of speakers to the same speakerterminal as your front speakers, however this produces 5.1 stereo sound and not 5.1 surround sound.
You can buy a new system that has the proper connections.

This set will not have the proper decoding software to produce 5.1 surroundsound. sorry.

This seems to be a problem that has to do with your HDMI audio output.
First check in your TV setting if audio out is selected on your correct HDMI port. Than check if your receiver is able to receive audio via HDMI (i assume you used the HDMI connection). Some receivers have HDMI IN connections but are not able to receive audio on it, the latest receivers/sets do have this feature. If your receiver doesnot support audio IN via HDMI you can only do one thing, connect the stereo audio-out of your TV to an AUX IN connection on your receiver.

try to do a factory setting reset
should be pressing pause button for 5 seconds

This was caused by the fan cable not being plugged in, in my case.

If the fan's not working - it could contribute to the unit not working.

if you want surrond sound you will have to switch the white/red rca jacks for a digital or optical input cable
and all will be well!

You need to run a cable from your Sky (satellite box) box's 'Audio Out' jacks to the sound system's 'Audio in' jacks. Make sure the Sound system is set on the same function as where you plugged in the cables (RCA type, red & white) on the back of the sound system. (example: if you used the 'Auxilliary' jacks, set the sound system on 'Aux')

If it's sound 'from' the TV as well as the sound system you'll need to connect another set (of red & white RCA) cables from the Sound System's 'Audio Out' jacks to the Television's 'Audio In' jacks. This should give you sound from both the TV's speakers and the Sound System. Good Luck!

There should be a setting in the Home theater's menu (probably under Audio or Audio Setup) to increase or decrease the delay. Set this to the least possible delay, or if possible, no delay at all. This, from what I read is a very good unit so it should have this setting in the 'Menu', if you can't find it, the manufacturer should be able to help. Good Luck!

look in the menu and try to change the encoding, There should be 3 options, Unicode, Cyrilic & Greek. Select greek if the .sub or .srt file is in ANSI encoding, or select Unicode if the file is in UTF-8 or Unicode encoding.

To find out the encoding of an .srt file the simpliest thing to do is open them with notepad and got to "File" -> "Save as", The encoding should appear in the bottom of the dialog.

Just try to clean your remote,this the common problem of dirty contacts of remote it plays a certain unit but to the other won't play.Just open it take a toothbrush with an alcohol brush the remote control board,and dry it for 1minute and close it back then check if working..

No it does not. It will upscale regular DVD's to HD resolution, but that's an electronic trick. You'll need to buy a BluRay player to watch high definition discs.

The HD-DVD standard has been abandoned by Toshiba, so the Sony players are the one's to look for.

This is not a High Definition DVD player, it does upscale a regular DVD to HD resolution, but that's just an electronic trick.

Also, Toshiba has abandoned the HD-DVD standard (did you find the discs on sale?), you'd need to find a BluRay player (like the Playstation 3) to play high definition DVD's.

Try a couple of things:
1. Will it take an audio CD?
2. There might be something stuck in the path the drawer takes when it's closing, shine a light in there and see if you can spot anything that doesn't look like it belongs there.
3. This one will sound dumb, but pick it up and shake it gently
