Mitsubishi WD-52631 52" Projection HDTV - Page 3 Questions & Answers
I have a mitsubishi wd-52631 approximately 3 years
You have a problem that is destroying your "Bulbs" this is NOT normal at all. This is indeed a problem when people aren't experienced enough with technical matters. You see the "Bulb" is a Symptom, of the actual "Fault" NOT the main cause. This, "main cause" MUST be fixed FIRST, before one replaces anything, otherwise what you are experiencing, will simply happen over and over again, and gets more expensive that if one had of sent it to a reputable service centre/man in the first place. We really ARE worth our salt.
Hi, I have WD-52631 model Mitsubishi projector tv.
If the part number of the replacement lamp that you've got is the same with the part number of the old one, yes, you could use the housing of the old lamp. You need to use a flat screw driver to open the housing.
If you couldn't find any opening to replace the bulb, contact the vendor and see on how you can open the housing. I'm sure they know how to open it.
Good luck and have a great day!
I replaced the lamp and the unit still gets a red

Mitsubishi tv solid yellow light how to fix
willshar2, by the way... nice tv, your tv chassis is a v33 chassis try the lamp sensor pt#299p313010a it's on the lamp housing, but again i wish you would let your favorite tv guy do the work.
No video. Sound OK
I felt it would be best to re-post on this to give some closure. Most people post their problems and after the fix has been applied, people who are in the same boat never hear if a fix worked or not. It ended up just being the lamp bulb. I purchased a replacement bulb on eBay, did the removal of the bad bulb and install of the new one via the aid of a video provided by the reseller. It took about 10 minutes over all to fix and I'm happy to say that my TV is working just fine.
Mitsubishi WD-52631 "Check airflow"
mitsubishi is aware of the problem and has issued a bulleteen on this the sensor is the problem. and needs to be replace.,.. i know of no way to bypass the sensor. sense this is a bulleteen issue item it might be covered under warrenty.... check wirh you local service center
TV won't come on
Im not at home right now so I can not get the exact part number but you need the powersupply for this set. There are numerous bad capacitors on this board and you might have a blown main on here. Replacing this will repair your set back to working condition.
