How to set the time

Hi, I have a Pioneer DEH-2950MP and manual had wrong instructions for setting clock. Took me hours, but instead of "Function" as manual stated or as someone suggested "Audio", found that "Source" button held in with stereo in off mode brought up flashing clock to enable resetting. Try that. Good luck !

Stereo reading error a/o on screen

This is a very broad error code meaning electrical or mechanical problem. I'm sure you've tried turning the ignition on and off. If toggling between radio and CD doesn't help, its time to check for loose connections or open up the head unit.

My Pioneer DEH-P2900MP CD Receiver wont get no

Hi Rod bo,

Normally when trying to diagnose problems remotely, a bit more detail is necessary. If for nothing else, than to save time on the 20 questions.

Several things to check.
  • Make sure +12VDC is getting to BOTH the red and the yellow wires. Confirm with test light or meter..
  • Make sure the ground is grounded
  • Check fuse on unit
  • Check in line fuses
  • Trace to source if necessary.
Things to wonder about....

Is this a new unit?
Has it ever worked?
Have you ever seen it work?

Best regards
Mike

Need to know color of speaker wire for left and

can you temporarily connect one set/side 1st.? using the 'code' based/biased on the front side speakers ie.'code' for the ground likely too be same/similar to rear speakers.so using one known ground wire temp.attach your known left rear ground too unit output's unknown rear ground .leaving you with a left rear speaker positive to temp connect too one of the two unknown rear positve feeds from your unit.testing in this fashion you may be able too 'narrow down' your options..in case of unknown speaker wires from the speakers themselves i use a small battery 1.5v dc ie.AA,.,AAA,.,C.,.D whatever is handy , will work enough, too temporarily power up your speakers, just hold one wire too the battery and just quickly brush across the other end of the battery with the other wire; as to temporarily make contact, and power up your speakers. to help you ID them..hope this applies and is of use for you..*note if memory serves me right the "marked" or not so "plain" code(s) tend too id (--)negative wire(s)from units as the more solid indicates (+) postive wire(s) from units.
