Do you have a Bluetooth adapter plugged into the KD-R330?

A compatible Bluetooth adapter (like the KS-BTA100) usually plugs into the rear auxiliary port of the receiver. It then needs to be "paired" with your Bluetooth device, for example, a Bluetooth phone headset.

What you're describing sounds like what can when no Bluetooth device has been "paired" yet.

If you don't HAVE a Bluetooth adapter connected to your KD-R330....is it possible you accidentally plugged something into its rear auxiliary jack? Or the front auxiliary? In other words, is it possible your KD-R330 receiver is mistaking some other device for a Bluetooth adapter?

Don't know if that helps at all...if there's no adapter issue, and nothing connected to the AUX jacks, probably your next step should be a call to JVC, or whatever number you were given for tech support.

On the bright side, since the receiver turns on, and responds to some commands, you probably didn't mess up anything major in the wiring. And, there's also the possibility the receiver is defective....certainly if this continues, and JVC can't help you, trying a replacement might be worth a try.

BTW, feel free to post a reply...I'm going to look further to see if there's any other documented issue besides an adapter that might cause the problem you're having.

Run the speaker wires from the stereo to the amplifier high outputs, or get a converter fr your stereo speakers wires to rca, most older amps have a high output witch have a left +-, Right +- depends on how many channels your amp is..

Check you "SOURCE" selection. It seems that it is on the USB input and there is no USB stick installed. Many of these newer radio models have poorly laid out and labeled controls and are often confusing. Some even have their buttons assigned to multiple functions depending what source or mode you are in, adding to confusion. Changing the SOURCE to CD or AM or FM should get you some results. If the SOURCE won't shift, then you have another issue to deal with.......

Due to liability the video cannot play unless the e brake is on. This assumes the unit is connected properly. There is one wire in the radio harness that is connected to the ebrake switch. There are ways around this safety feature however their are laws in most areas making this *******.

Repair cost would exceed replacement cost. Try disconnecting all the speakers and see if it works then. Try reconnecting each speaker by itself and see if that causes the problem. Most grand am have the monsoon sound syatem...even if they aren't labeled as such. Pull the carpet in the trunk on the left (drivers) side wheel well. The monsoon amp is located over the wheel if you have a monsoon system. If you have to remove the amp then you must change the speakers out or rewire them as the monsoon system uses bi amp speakers. Most of the ga forums have extensive write ups on this system.

You will need to order a replacement factory remote. Universal remotes only operate home equipment. The chances of finding one that happens to have the codes for the car unit are slim and there is no crossreference for them. Ebay is a good source for them.
