If youve rigged it to watch dvd's while moving. the sat nav thinks the parking brake is on and wont move. The vss cable needs to be connected as well.

Sure, I have the same unit in my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. I had to re-design the entire center/radio Console to fit this unit in. As soon as the "Caution" Screen comes on, hit the play/pause button (The round belly button, button on the remote) and it will vanish, automatically. And you are right, it is a pain in the ass. I wish there was a way to permanently disable it, but i don't know if there is. If I know of anything I will let you all know. Hope this helps.

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm kind of having the same problem, my radio works but nothing else is. I can hear music on the radio but when I switch to cd or bt (iPhone) ... I hear nothing thought (cd) it recognizes discs and I can see them play but no sound. It played before till one day it stopped. I don't know what changed or was set differently.

do you have a satellite radio tuner? if not, you will not receive satellite radio.

of course not, it is illegal to do so.

Wouldn't be speed sense, that only helps with lag when you loose line of site with the satellites. As soon as it links with the satellites, it should know your position. More likely a software issue with the unit, or an antenna problem.

i found out what thre prob was it was the speed sensor...it doesnt work on all vehicles cuz of the wiring

I had the same problem, where the Sat radio, the bluetooth and the ipod were all non-functional. Turns out, they all go through one central hook-up, so you have to make sure that connection is good.

When mine did not show up or function, I looked at the install under the foot board of the front passenger seat that the installer did, and nothing looked out of whack. Upon closer inspection, one of the cables was had been pressed out of it's proper place and loosened enough to cause a bad connection.

I don't care for the install, but there was no problem with the equipment, so check all of your connections. Even to the point of pulling them out and reconnecting them to see if that fixes the problem.

There is a wire in the PCM bottom plug its dark green/brown stripe you can try that

Try to mount the gps antenna on the roof or front mirror where 2 to 3 satellite can hit it at once. Goodluck.

you'll need a manual for the car and/or the electrical diagrams to determine the correct wire to use.

I spliced it in right behind the instrument cluster on my BMW. Same with the parking brake wire.

Check to see if your constant(yellow) wire get a constant 12 to 14 volts. Goodluck.

check your reverse wire siginal. Make sure you have the correct polarity selected.
