T5420 unable to transmit or receive. Please help!
Here is a link to the user manual:

This unit does not have a reset button. While troubleshooting you might check the batteries. Be certain they are in correctly and the contacts are free of corrosion. You can use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts.
Walk through all the programming instructions in the manual, double checking both the frequency and interference eliminator codes. A quick setting back to zero on the code would alleviate any problem with that section of the radio.
As far as your "paging" this operates on the same frequency and code as the rest of the radio. If the radios are not working correctly in this relm, the paging will not work either.

I can rx transmissions but they can't hear me.
Check the settings of both your interference code eliminator and your Qt filter (if your model has one). These codes need to match the other radios exactly. If the other radios have a Qt filter and your unit does not, then the Qt filter would need to be shut off on the other units.

It's Locked
Looks like you have it in the locked position. We need to unlock it and set the pl codes and channel number the same as the other one.
Locking the Keypad
To avoid accidentally changing your radio settings, press and hold for 3 seconds
or until displays. You can turn the radio on and off, adjust the volume, receive,
transmit, send a call tone, and monitor channels. All other functions are locked.
To unlock the radio, press and hold for 3 seconds or until is no longer
displayed.
Try reading this manual on page 18 to unlock the radio
www.starbatteries.com/radiomanuals.html you will find the manual
the last link on the left, a new page will pop up, go down the page a little and click on download pdf 3m.
Hope this helps some, I lock my radios alot so they dont change if I bump them.
Take Care,
Kevin

Motorola t5000
If you have already checked both radios have the same code and channel both radios must reicive and transmit between each other
check if you have any QT in any display this is a third condition to reicive.

T5000 have a lot of static!
I think if you can´t undestand what the other person is sayin, and you think is working fine, the problem could be at the speaker, check if the speaker is clear of dirty or sand or any thing that has not to be there.
If you find any dirty or sand on you speaker, try to clean with a brush and giving some little knocks with a piece of steel
Good luck

Low Voice
Mostly of this radios works in 12.5Khz channel spacing so the modulation will be 2.5khz, if the other radios are not for the same application, they could be a 5.0 Khz modulation, this could be the reason that you are heared quite.
Other reason is that you Microfone is clogged, or dirty, chech this.

I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio
Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.
Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?
It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable.
Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device.
You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.
I have two older Motorola Walkies Talkabout FR60 wont send or receive and a T5820 with the rubber broken off the antenna is is cost feasible to fix or not
I believe for the FR60 walkie-talkies, if they are not sending or receiving, the issue could be related to the antenna, battery, or internal components. You can try replacing the batteries and/or antennas to see if that resolves the issue.
As for the T5820 walkie-talkie, if the rubber on the antenna is broken, it's likely that the antenna itself is also damaged. In this case, you can try replacing the antenna with a new one. Antennas are typically available for purchase online or at electronics stores.
In terms of cost, repairing older walkie-talkies like these may not always be cost-effective. If the repairs are extensive or require replacement of major components, it may be more practical to purchase new walkie-talkies instead.
Below are options of the options of walkie-talkies you can buy;
Motorola sliver headset won't power on even when the green lights are solid
There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue with your Motorola Silver headset not powering on:
- Make sure that the headset is fully charged by connecting it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
- Check the battery contacts in the headset and charger to ensure that they are clean and free of debris.
- Try resetting the headset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
- Try a different charger or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
- Make sure that the headset is not in pairing mode.
- Check the headset manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for turning on the headset.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the headset itself and you may need to contact Motorola for further assistance.
Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.
Can you use the Motorola XPR 4550 as a police scanner?
The Motorola XPR 4550 is a two-way radio, not a scanner. Scanners are devices that can listen to a wide range of frequencies, whereas two-way radios are designed for communication between a limited number of specific devices on specific frequencies. However, you can use a scanner to listen to the frequency that the Motorola XPR 4550 is transmitting on.
Motorola XTL5000. encoding is working but decoding is not. If you encode a different tone on another radio it still hears it.
