How do you light a gas oven

Chances are your hot surface ignitor is bad. Take off the bottom panel inside the oven you will have to removes grills also. You will see a center beam under the panel that is where the flames of your burner are. The hot surface ignitor is right there at the start of the burners. As a test turn the oven on and notice it hot surface ignitor glows. If it didn't glow then it needs to be replaced. Easy fix only held on by two small screws 1/4 size nut runner and two wires. You will have to cut the wires as they run back into the back of the oven. The new one just take the wire nuts that come with it and attach. Don't make the wires too short as you will need the length. let me know how it goes ken

Bottom oven won't turn on;

85% of these are usually the ignitor getting week and not allowing the gas valve to open [email protected]

No flame

when this happens it is usually because of a faulty flame/gas safety valve.

Door Glass

The only solution seems to be ordering a custom glass piece matching the dimension of the glass on the oven door. However, since my oven is white I would like the door to be white too. Although I have found glass guys who can tint the glass door dark, I have not found anyone who can color it white. Let me know if anyone knows such a glass vendor.

My Amana oven won't work. It shows a error code f6

Error code f6 is an incorrect voltage code. The first thing to do is go to the breaker box and shut the power off to the oven. In some cases there maybe more than 1 breaker controlling the oven, make sure all the power is removed for 5 minutes. After waiting the 5 minutes test the oven if it works all is good, if not you need to gain access to the main board and start checking powers in and out. A lot of the time on a good visual inspection of the wiring and main board you will find the problem due to a melted or burnt spot. I hope this helps.
