Hum is generally associated with electrolytic capacitors. If the hum is on both channels it will be the power supply. Generally it will be the big ones there that are the cause.

It looks like a Sheet Switch problem. It is quite common for CDJs.You can replace it yourself if you feel quite confident. No special tools, no soldering is required just a few screwdrivers. According to Pioneer there are 2 possible faults associated with this error.

Option 1 - Error in mechanical operations Unrecoverable: Turn the power off. The error indication will be cleared. If the error still shows then it's Option 2.

Option 2 - Communication error between operating section and main section The error indication is cleared when the communication is finished (if it can finish).

Communication fault between the control interface (the PCB with all the switches on) and the main PCB (the motherboard in the base of the unit). It could be that the main ribbon cable that connects between the two has come loose or damaged. The control interface works on a digital PCM system, and if there is a problem with this, the motherboard throws a fit.

What is the problem?

You can have a fuse problem only in you plug it diectly to 240V, the UK voltage. Check that the converter is a step down transformer, 240 to 110 volts. The system should work with 110Volts. If everything is ok, then you blew the system´s powersupply with the 240Volts. that is difficult to solve.

wipe it up using moist damp cloth ,slightly soapy, and invite her back to help you,

when removeing top cover you will see the power supply on top right side faceing you.there are fuses on that board. Some of the fuses will look like transistors, however will only have two legs,check all. chances are you may have one or more bad.

CDJ800 lasers can and do fail.

1st check if there any pieces of paper or bits of sticky label inside. If that is not the problem then the "main cam" is the next suspect.

e8301 is cd player error at start up. you will have to take the top off and see if laser assembly is stuck from slideing in or out,it should be fully returned to the return switch,it should be close to the spin motor before spinning. also see if disc spins

Laser pick may need cleaning or replacing.

e7201 is a toc error.If disc spins then you have a defective laser assembly

Chances are the laser has failed.
