Sorry Audrey, continuation posts don't work on this site - you need to repost all the information every time you think of something new to tell us...

Maybe the speakers are broken and need to be repaired and the fuses need to be replaced then inside of the speakers. There are people that fixes speakers and see what the problem is and if it can be repaired or not.If the parts can not be replaced then it would be easier to buy new ones than to fix the current ones that you have.

While a loudspeaker in operation is also a generator, being a coil of wire moving in a magnetic field, amplifier design allows for this back emf so it doesn't cause problems so it is doubtful the drive unit is actually creating static. It might be due to damp or mishandling among other causes the speech coil of the drive unit is no longer properly aligned and when moving further under increased bass it is rubbing on the magnet. Dust or dirt ingress can have a similar effect. If it is an active subwoofer it could have an electrical fault (dry joint perhaps or a faulty component creating noise), be overloaded or otherwise mismatched with the amplifier.

Most likely they are being over powered by the amplifier drive level. Or, they could have a burned out voice coil. Solution for this level of product is replacement due to their low cost. sorry,
