Logitech Z-10 Computer Speakers

Hi there. If distorted your speakers may be blown. However this is unlikely. It will also depend on the quality of the audio file you are playing back.

Logitech speakers not working no sound

Turn off the speakers. Restart the computer with the speakers off. Once fully booted turn on the speakers. I had this problem where with the speakers on when the computer was started the sound card was not even recognized. Loading drivers had no affect. Good luck.

HOW TO DISMANTLE THE SPEAKERS Z-10

okay...this is not pretty, but it's the way I did it, and Logitech have not made these easy to dismantle. The shiny front panel is actually glued onto the speaker chassis, and must be carefully and slowly pulled off the aluminum chassis, Take great care not to scratch or excessively bend the faceplate as you ease it away - the glue is elastic, but has a very strong grip, so this requires a fair bit of force. Start at the top corner and gradually release the entire fascia. When you get down near the display, take even greater care, because there are all kind of delicate controls under there. Don't poke anything into this area, but continue pulling a bit at a time until the entire front comes off. I used a strong but thin screwdriver blade to get a start on the edge - the silver trim stays where it is on the chassis...don't try to remove that, as it has nothing to do with disassembly! Once the faceplate is off you have access to the small philips screws - 8 or 10 (by memory) that actually hold the front of the speaker chassis to the rear casing. I used a long, strong screwdriver to remove these - they are in pretty tight. That gave me access to the whole speaker internals, including the circuit board. I kept the front fascia safe glue side up, and was able to carefully replace it using the original glue. I checked everything was still working...and it is. Next I will take it apart again to change the capacitors (that's the fault with mine, which makes an intermittent static crackle sound that is unaffected by the volume control). Once again, move slowly but firmly to avoid damaging the fascia, and good luck!

Logitech z10 speakers won't turn

It is most likely and electrical problem within the speakers themselves.
Contact Logitech to see if you can get a warranty replacement. If you go to their web site, you might be able to catch a live chat customer service. Not on a Sunday though, try Monday or Tuesday: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/439/202

Z10 USB connection does not work

My symptoms were that the speakers stopped working all of a sudden. Display showed power but gave no access to volume adjustment and did not play sounds.

I read a vague comment by another poster and it worked!
They said to unplug it from the power plug and leave it overnight before replugging it in...... at first I dismissed this, and tried everything else to no resolution. I was ready to return the speakers but decided to unplug it and see... Bingo********! in the morning

Z-10 is now back in action.
