Tv (plasma) made loud pop

That's an interesting issue you posted, yfz45011959! Try unplugging the receiver's power cord from the outlet for at least ten seconds and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't fix the problem, let me know what type of receiver you have. The model can be found on the front panel in the bottom left corner.

Hope that helps!

Second level tv has a signal but the main tv on

Hello! It sounds like there are a few things that could actually be going on. If you are getting no picture on the TV(you have a black, blue, or snowy screen), you will want to make sure that the TV is on the correct channel and/or input. You will want to be on channel 3 or 4, and possibly on a Video 1 or 2 or HDMI 1 or 2 input. If that doesn't work, then try unplugging the receiver from the power source for about 10 seconds. If you are still not getting a picture, let me know!

If you have a signal loss message on your screen (Signal has been lost, Partial SIgnal loss, COmplete signal loss, or Acquiring signal), you will first want to unplug the receiver from the power source for 10 seconds. You will get the Acquiring singla message as the receiver reboots after you plug it in, but that should only be about 5 minutes at the most. If you get the message after 5 minutes, you will want to make sure that all of the cables going from the back of the receiver to the wall are tight. If that still doesn't do it, please let me know!

How do I restore deleted recordings from the DVR?

alsap111, we have no way of restoring deleted recordings. What I would recommend is picking up an External Hard Drive and you can use that to back up or store recordings. Just plug it in to the back of the receiver and follow the prompts on screen. It will be required to format so make sure everything is saved should there be anything on it.

Can you record a program and watch live TV at the

If you have a dual receiver, you can record to TV 2 and watch any program on TV 1. If you have 2 recordings taking place at the same time, you can only watch what is being recorded. With a dual receiver, you can place the receiver in single mode and watch a different program even if 2 recording are taking place. In single mode both TV 1 and TV 2 will be watching the same program. A solo DVR you can record to tuner 2 and watch what you want on TV 1. With the VIP 622 receiver, you have the Record Plus option, you can have all recording go to TV 2. If 2 recordings take place, then TV 1 and TV 2 are used.

How do you delete a program that is mistakenly

The easiest way I know is to press menu, then daily schedule. Find the program in question in your list. Click on that program and you will se a window "timers", click on that and you will see "delete", click on that. then you can reset your program to record the way you want. You can also follow the same proceedure, click menu, then daily schedule, then click on "timers". Scroll to the timer you want to delete, click on it, then click on delete.

We have a VIP622 DVR

These units have a hard drive in them and are working harder than the average computer because of all the info they store and update. They are exactly like the TIVO units, performing the same tasks and, if you are using the internet end of it, then it's working all that much harder. Unfortunately, at least I believe, when they take them back, all they do is replace the hard drive and clean them up so, you're probably getting a refurbished unit as repalcement. I like Dishnetwork and have had my problems in the past with their receivers and i too have had alot of luck with my latest one but, I'm figuring I'll have a problem coming soon. It sounds like a receiver failure but, make sure all your connetions are good, have a peek at the dish and make sure it's okay and not blocked in any way. They will mor than likely send you a new one and then you put the old one in the box and return it. As far as I know there isn't any way to recover your recordings. They do offer an external hard drive where you could probably store recordings important to you then if you unit goes bad your recordings on external drive should be fine.

No dvr function

Try a hard reset, disconnect from outlet for 2 minutes. If that does not work, check to see if you get an error code, 311 or 024 and if so, your receiver needs to be replaced. Call Dish!

Fan on Dish Network's VIP722k

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH Network Customer Support.

It is normal for the fan on the 722k receiver to run often to cool down the system. If the receiver is in an enclosed space that could cause the receiver to overheat which would make the fan run continuously.

If you have any further questions let us know.

I bought a new TV for my #2, but is says I'm not

djpeter770

You can go to TV 1 to make sure TV 2 is suppose to be set to channel 60. Did you run the auto setup on your TV? If you have already run the auto setup on your TV, unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will make the receiver reboot and re-acquire satellite signal. Then see if you get a picture on your TV 2. If not, the last thing you can try is changing the channel from 60 to 73 through the receiver.

With your DISH remote at TV 1, press the Menu button - Main Menu will display on the TV 1. Then press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 5 (Modulator Setup). On the Modulator Setup screen, move over to TV 2 Out and select Cable, then press select on the remote. This will automatically change the channel from 60 to 73. Highlight Done on the right and press select. Cancel out of each screen till you get back to the TV screen. Go to TV 2 and put the TV on channel 73. You should get a picture. I hope this helps.

My DVR is recording programs I have not selected

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. Icame across your post recently and wanted to see if I could help. It soundslike your TV2 remote is going to need to be readdressed. It could be possiblethat your TV1 and TV2 remotes are on the same frequency and remote address oryour TV2 remote may be on the same frequency as another remote in a nearby homeor apartment. I would like to list here for you the instructions on changingyour remote address so that it no longer experiences interference. This shouldbe an easy fix for the issue you are experiencing. I hope this works for youbut if it does not or you have any further questions or concerns about thisissue or any others feel free to email me at [email protected] and Iwill be happy to help. :)
Instructions for readdressing TV2 remote

  1. Take TV2 remote to TV1 location (in front of the receiver)
  2. Go to System Info screen. You can do this by either pressing the system info button on the front of the receiver box or by pressing the power button once then the channel up button once on the front of the receiver. (You may need to open the little door on the front right side of the receiver box)
  3. Once you are in the system info screen you will see primary remote address(TV1) and secondary remote address(TV2). For your particular situation you will locate TV2
  4. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  5. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change the number to something different then what is already listed in the white square.
  6. Press the pound (#) button
  7. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 5 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
