Local police, sheriff and fire are not received

With the distant services still coming in, it's probable that your local agencies have changed from single-frequency operations to a trunked system or, if already trunked, that frequency/user assignments have been updated within the system. Unlock code all frequencies for pro 2096 digital

Sorry, but there is no magic code that will "unlock" your Pro-2096 or any other modern scanner. If you want a scanner with wider frequency coverage, you'll need to purchase one that comes that way from the factory.

No more receive

This scanner uses SMT parts and a multi-level board. If RF from your Yeasu cooked it, you have no choice other than to send it in for repair. Unless you have access to SMT equipment and understand you can't repair traces on a circuit board with multiple levels, you are sunk. Send it in for repair. They will shotgun the board and get it back to you.

I'M UPLOADING A APCO 25

Hello,

You didn't mention how you were loading your configuration (manually / via computer).

If you are entering configuration manually, then create a skip for whatever frequencies that the voice is occurring on. If it is a range of frequencies, then you can create a band exclusion (see manual) which will be ignored.

If entering the configuration using a computer, go through the menu options, and choose to exclude all other frequencies other than what has been specifically entered. Alternatively, squelching everything other than what is entered may be easier, and require less memory space as well.

800 MHz frequency Mode problem

You have to program it TRUNKING mode when you enter the control channel frequencies. It is decoding okay as the MO shows motorola control channel and +DG means digital decoded and an OPEN group. You need to press the 'trunk' button everytime a talkgroup comes up that you want it to remember for future 'closed' group (-DG) talk groups. I suggest you go to 'RadioReference DOT com" and there are many forums there for your radio, as well as one or two YAHOO GROUPS specifically for your scanner. 73's

You didnt say what particular frequencies so I have included the links and info below

Heads up that in some countries / States this can carry severe penalty.

I cannot give any direct information and it up to you to make sure you apply to the laws of your state etc

A good source of information are the two sites below

Frequencies

Scanner software

With any luck you will also find either the manual or a link to it there as well as quite a lot of other useful information that would give you guidance as to the legality

Scanner has no audio

Try plugging in a headphone and see if that works. If it does, then you can be pretty sure the only problem is the headphone jack itself, or the speaker or wires to it. If the headphone does not work, then the unit is going to need to be sent in for repair as the problem is going to require more than just a simple fix. Good luck!!

I am looking for the cheapest way of recieving

Sorry, but that frequency is out of the tuning range of virtually all current scanners. About your only option is to purchase an old continuous-tuning scanner such as the PRO-2006, ICOM IC-R71, etc. eBay is possibly the best source.

Display keeps going out of the pro 2096, it was

Unfortunately there is not. This is one of the "gremlins" that plagued the 2096. From what I have been told by other 2096 owners, the problem comes from a fault where the ribbon cable (or flex) joins to the LCD display. You may want to try opening the scanner and checking the connection. Sometimes gently pressing on the joint with a pencil eraser can re-establish the connection.

Sorry I don't have a "quick fix" for you, but hopefully this will help steer you in the right direction for troubleshooting.
