Kds60a2000 tv won't switch on red light blinks 6
Have you tried putting in a new bulb for the screen. Our TV did that and it was the bulb needed replacing. Ours is on the side towards the back. You can order it online, its cheaper than paying a repair man to do it. The first time we did it cost us 500 dollars and then the second time it happened I ordered off ebay for only 170 dollars. Big difference Huh ;) Good Luck
I have a red line going across the screen. It
Disconnect the inputs to the TV one by one and see if the line disappears. If it does then the component that you disconnected is causing the issue with some A.C. leakage getting into the TV at that point. I have a feeling you have a cable box that is causing the issue.

I have no picture and light flashes 5 times
If you pull the right side out (as you look at the front), get you ear down to the fan exhaust area and turn the set on. If you do not hear the fan turn or feel air being blown out, then you have a defective fan. It is a common problem.
Hope this helps,

It's suppose to be by the lamp to keep it cool!
FLASHING RED LIGHT

there are three or four fans in the set
Power turn off after 45 minutes to 1 hour used
Check the "Sleep Timer" settings. If set to 45 minutes then TV would automatically turn itself off 45 minutes from being turned on. The variance in the "on" times is due to the TV turning itself off after not getting a signal from the remote for fifteen minutes.
Good luck,

Lose picture 10-25 sec., keeps soud
I had the same problem with my set. the problem was with the lamp bulb. They don't teel you this, but when a bulb start to go, this can happen. Iuld turn my set on and it would work. After about 45 seconds, the picture would "turn off" (still have the sound). This would last for about 45 - 60 seconds and then the picture woudl come back, but then the cycle would stsart all over again. I took a chance and purchased a new bulb (I bought just the bulb, not the bulb and housing). I took out the current bulb and housing, replaced the bulb in the current housing, and put the bulb/house back in. Problem solved! (have not had the issue since). Hope this is helpful!
