The button should be on the back of the motor unit. You may have to remove a light lens to find it.

How can I find out the correct settings for this blue relay?

Good Morning:

I also substituted Floescent Bulbs for the standard bulbs. The bulbs would not light up although the relay was working. It seemed that the Florescent bulbs had a somewhat shorter neck. What I did was unplug the drive system from the outlet and then bend the metal connector in the socket so that it would come out further towards the opening of the socket. I then repluged the drive. The Floercent bulbs now have contact and are working perfectly. Simple problem with a simple solution.

I had the same problem. Although it appeared to be the logic board, on mine it actually was the connectors between the logic board and the power supply board.
There are 2 connections on the logic board. One white connector with wires going to the main unit, and another set of connectors that plug directly into the smaller circuit board that holds the step-down transformer (120vac - 22vac). These pins were not making good connection between the boards. I simply bent the pins slightly so they would make better contact on the logic board and have not had a problem since. This must be a weak point on these door openers. Purchasing a new logic board would work too, as the connectors are newer and tighter.

One possible reason. (RF) Interference from an ultrasonic humidifier. The radio wave created to create the mist will cancel out a garage door opener I learned it the hard way I almost replace two garage door opener's but I turned off humidifier and everything worked in my Internet works better now too. Just passing this tip on hope I helped.

Pull the logic board and check it for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit. Thunderstorms love logic boards.

mikey-moore's advice helped me figure out what to do but it's not exactly what I had to do. Manually open the garage door all the way. Then hit the automatic button you normally would use to open and close your garage door. The bracket slides back and locks into place. Hit the automatic button again and the garage door should automatically close.

the craftman george door opener will not close the light blinks five time. what is that?

Sears Craftsman... | Answered on Jul 17, 2018 | 2,009 views

There hasn't been a manual for that opener for over 20 years. Sounds like you have a door problem if it won't stay up.

If you can not open the door sounds like you might have a broken spring. Call a professional do not try to repair the spring yourself.

Remove the eye wiring from the opener entirely and try it that way.

I can't tell if you're question is accurate, are you saying that the key pad will only open the door and never closes it or that it will only do one direction then you have to use the remote? If you're saying the keypad will not close the door at all, that may be a safety issue since closing doors can potentially damage property or worse, if your saying the remote works both ways then you probably need to reset your opener and keypad. Cut the power to the opener, leave it disconnected for five minutes. Reconnect and try keypad again. If this doesn't resolve the problem them you may have a bad circuit and will have to call a pro.

Check the spring above the door, mine would go up a couple of inches and we found that the spring had broke.

If motor continues to run but no chain action check for missing chain tooth or cam gear worn.

Sears Craftsman... | Answered on Sep 22, 2017 | 85 views

If the chain is loose I would definitely tighten it up to remove the sloppiness of the drive. That will in turn help you to accurately find the sweet spot that is currently eluding you. And you have to work fast because you do not want to overheat the motor.
