Samsung syncmaster 971P going to sleEp after searching for analog/digital signal

WELL step one is setting the PC, to a correct resolution the monitor allows. (I use avideo signal generator) so I not need to play PC games to do that. but can, forcing PC to 1024x768 is best NOW.good news the screen is not dead. 2006 monitors most are CCFL dead. now. no text error and no OSD screens, do you get OSD button to work?\/learn these rules. first (off CCLF lamps are not dead)the monitor power button blue means ON, off black means powersaver mode (dumbb idea this color black, yellow best)this old old monitor fails on vast kinds or modern resolutionsOSD page one try RESET?learn that VGA + DVI scans can fail, on vast monitors. we simply go to the OSD menu and enable DVI, forced, source select Digital.and now it all works well that is if no using the correct DVI port on the PC, mine has 2, one on video card and 1 on the mobothe mobo port IS DEAD when VIDEO cards are present.so that is one more way to get it wrong.there is no w10/11 support on 2006 monitor that means w10 must be forced to a legit resolution manual per below. in desktop settings;most monitors the OSD button is dead, after 10second just turned on. so power off, power on and hit OSD menu, button.best is use PC with a modern monitor an force resolution to one of the below then plug in this lame 2006 monitor and see it work.only these work at PC end to MON. note no 1080P !!!!! ouch!VESA, 640 x 480VESA, 800 x 600VESA, 1024 x 768VESA, 1152 x 864 VESA, 1280 x 960 VESA, 1280 x 1024next time buy monitors 2010 or newer never older. oK?https://www.manualslib.com/manual/201753/Samsung-Syncmaster-971p.html?page=30&term=osd&selected=1#manualfree manual to read, on IT.

I have a picture, but

All screens on earth do that, if the PC desktop is dead, all do , it goes to ITS very own sleep mode. and black screen in 15 seconds. after PC dies, or is PC already dead, not connected or cable to PC is bad. or both ends connected wrong.. #2 cause is CCFL backlamp tubes dead. 2007 year made has those CCFL and most are dead now. or even only 5 years old they die. to prove that , CCFL deal. dead when monitor is cold, and no Power power it on (its button) only, no PC needed and push the menu button under 15 seconds does the OSD menu pop up, if yes monitor is not dead. or do this test any time that" 20 times dead "thing happens, do the OSD test first. CCFL deathh symptoms. dead tubes, all or 1/2 the screen dim tubes intermittent, and random dead fails only warm or cold, only. thermal. yellow tinged tubes, white = yellowish. bad luck and any CCFL can fail, for lots of reasons. we use a flash light pointed at the screen to see , OMG there is data there. the menu button does work , only CCFL are dead. now the acid test gee test the monitor on a 2nd known good PC. what can be more easy and best test. if that simple test works, then the PC#1 is dead, we then fix it next. the secret is he OSD is inside the monitors brain, no PC needed. danny tell your story and do the tests first see data? ????? PC good, or OSD is up for 15 seconds,? flash-glow-magic2-undefined-undefined-0_5.jpgfree manualhttps://www.manualslib.com/manual/145335/Samsung-Syncmaster-920nw.html?page=11#manual

Samsung syncmaster 920nw black color has no definition. color looks muddy or bleeding.

In the first instance I would check all connections. It could possibly be a wire not making proper contact. If that doesn't help, then look for the degauss or restore option on the monitor!

Monitor comes on for 2 seconds then goes blank

Check if the cable connecting your monitor from the video card is properly secure and not loose...
You can also try this... turn off your cpu..remove the cable from your video card.....Open the housing....remove your video card from your motherboard... clean the contact surface of the video card with moisten cloth.... after cleaning...connect the video card to the motherboard...attached the cable to your video card.. close the housing and try to boot again...

I hope that work.. if not my suggestion is you try your video card in other computer, try also the monitor to other computer.. to see which one failed.

Much appreciated if you rate this help.. thanks..

Once power on the monitor after 20 seconds power off how iam rectifed

Here's some tricks I would try... 1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced. 7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers. Good luck.

Separate the wiring. Touching wires create cross-talk of signals. the pic will be clear immediately.

I have samsung sync master 920nw monitor . this monitor turn on after few minutes disply is going turn off ,but power butten LED working...I romove the PCB and changing All capacitor but no use ..same

The back light tubes are probably exhausted. They can be replaced, or you could try a CCFL to LED back light conversion. eBay.com has some kits for doing that.

Windows 7 driver

Search for the Samsung website. you should find all of the info you need. Also windows 7 will find a driver for your monitor if you go to your device manager and click the device driver drop-down-window for your computer's video card. Check your Windows 7 updates in all programs on the 'start button'. What kind of problem are you having with the monitor? If only the driver update finding that isn't too difficult.

My samsung syncmaster won't start. It stays black.

Hi:
You have a problem with the power supply that is built into the monitor. These are not easily repaired, as the cost exceeds the value of the monitor.

I have a Samsung Sync Master 920 NW model number 920nw, model code LS19HANKBM/XAA. The Monitor will not turn on but the power button blinks. I have tried to bring it out of standby but nothing works.W

This type of problem is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. The board is easily repairable, you just need to replace the defective capacitors. It will require a little soldering but anyone can do it. Here is a link to a repair guide showing how to repair the board and what parts and tools will be needed to complete the repair. I hope this helps you out.http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/repairing-the-samsung-920n-920nw-monitors/

Green and red screen on Samsung SyncMaster 920nw

Replace the video cable or hdmi, depending on which you may be using. Some of the small wires in that cable may have snapped. Another suggestion is to take it into a repair shop that gives free examinations or diagnosis, because one of the small leads going from the screen to circuit boards lining the display, may have broke, unfortunatelly this may lead to you having to buy a new display. Most of the time it can not be reconnected due to many wires in the same ribbon are to close. You may also have to purchase a new screen from the factory.

After applying the power to monitor it is not getting switched on.

The problem is usually caused by one or two open capacitors in the power supply board.
