Where doi hook up the system remote control wire

on your wiring harness behind the stereo, you should have 2 blue wires. one solid, and a second blue wire with a white line on it. the one with the white line is your remote turn on. the other one is for a power antenna, and wont work to keep your amp on.

I have a DEH-P7900BT. It was working very well for

I would check both of the power wires for the unit. There is a yellow one and a red one. The yellow one always has power regardless of the position of the ignition switch. The red one only gets power when the ignition switch is in the on position. Also does this only happen when the vehicle is in motion or does it happen just sitting and listening to the stereo? It also could possibly be the ground wire not getting a good connection. Make sure the ground wire is tightly connected to something that is metal. Good luck.

Twice my Pioneed DEH-P7900BT has just stopped

This sounds like a wiring problem. Double check all of you connections. If the Connections look good then I would check the connections inside the radio. Check the power wire mostly. The wire could have a bad solder joint inside the radio itself.
