Lenovo x60 wireless problem

Verify that the radio is enabled.
It is possible to disable the transmitter of the wireless card without Device Manager showing any problems.
Note: Follow the instructions provided to enable wireless card.
  • Most wireless cards will put an icon in the system tray (the line of icons in the lower right corner of your screen). Right click this icon and it may have a menu option to enable/turn on the wireless radio.
  • Some systems come with a Wireless Radio switch to disable the wireless radios. The wireless radio switch is usually located on the front side of the machine. If you are having difficulties with wireless connections, make sure the Wireless Radio switch is set in the On position.
  • Check for association to an Access Point.
If you double-click the previously mentioned system tray icon, the configuration utility of the wireless card will appear. This utility will be able to show the status of the wireless card, showing what channel the card is using and what signal strength is being received. It may be difficult to maintain a connection if signal strength is low due to either interference or distance. For example, interference can be caused by 2.4GHz cordless phones, other Access Points in the area, and physical structures such as load bearing walls or metal partitions.
    Note:
The utility can be used to configure the wireless card settings, but if using Windows XP Zero Configuration or Access Connections, you will need to use those programs to actually configure the wireless card as they will overwrite the setting of the utility.

Slow computer

The reason may be one or more problems acting together. The problem nowadays is that it is very difficult and time consuming to monitor and take care of your Lenovo PC. Even experienced users find it hard to perform such tasks on regular basis because you might need to prepare a huge amount of time and energy to deal with each issue separately. If you want to fix the problems more efficiently, try the Lenovo speed up program, available here: http://www.speeduplenovo.com/Cheers!

I cant play music or

double check if the volume is on mute there is a certain icon from your keyboard that indicate volume. try holding Fn key then press that volume button to unmute it. make sure also that ther eare no headphone connected as it will disable sound if you are expecting it from speakers. you may also try checking the driver status if you need to reinstall it or update it. simply go to control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager to check audio device there, if the icon has yellow marking on it then that is the problem you just need to reinstall or update the driver for audio by either using the driver disc that came with the system or downloading it from the manufaturers website

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. Hello,

You can still view the D partition. Right MY COMPUTER - select MANAGE - on the left hand side select DISK MANAGEMENT.

After selecting, on the right hand side you see the DISK 0 is your primary hard disk.

it is still divided into two. one is allocated which is C (in blue) and unallocated is D (in black)

to merge the partition you can use partition magic.
