I've had an Asus P5Q-SE for about 7 years now and it's a solid board. It has 4 memory slots, 2 IDE ports, 6 SATA ports, 6 USB ports on the back with headers for 6 more via front panel or rear expansion card and 5.1 sound, as well as an embedded (although VERY basic) operating system, onboard antivirus and a couple other goodies in the ROM.I'm sure there is an updated version of this board by now which would offer more features but I don't even use all the features of this board. Regardless of which board you get, it will have to be socket 775 and support DDR2 if you want to keep everything else
Hello here is the homepage:http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2358#spYour mainboard supports 1 x AGP 8x slot ( the green slot )The new PCI-e express does not fit the socket. When you add a bigger graphic card, you will probably need a bigger power supply.I recommed a 500 watt or bigger. Most external graphic cards uses 150 to 250 watts, depending of the size of the card.I also recommed ATI/AMD graphic cards.Such graphic card, can be bought online, or in a computer shop.Good luck
You need to check the RAM and Processor whether they are sat fit or not.. If this isn't the problem, sometimes video card creates this problem.. Make sure that your power supply is working properly or you can try your motherboard on another PC.. If problem persists, please let me know.. Good luck..
