First thing to try is this, please go to control panel on the printer and to aministration menu. Scroll down to troubleshooting and find the PQ troubleshooting option and press ok. This will print a series of test prints. If these prints look OK then likely you have an issue with your driver. If they are faded, the second thing you need to do is check to make sure that your firmware revision is current. On the config page that prints with the pages just printed above, look on the upper left for firmware revision. Current version is 46.300.0.
Download from here and install following the instruction in the readme file. Did it print OK before changing cartridges? If you installed remanufactured or 3rd party cartridges, the toner will not always provide the same quality of print.

My mfp m1132 is showing error E8 and cant copy/scan. what do I do?
Juliet. Most likely the scanner lamp, or scanner control unit assembly is defective. If you're technically savvy, you could remove the scan glass and lube the shaft that the scan lamp assy slides on. Sometimes that will fix it. Otherwise, the whole top scan unit will need replacing. That could cost over $300 for the replacement.

Is it all the colors? Make sure the drum shutters open and close when opening and closing the front door. Missing magenta color is common in this machine and other machines like it. The magenta laser scanner mirror sits in the lower part of the printer and face up and toward the front of the printer. Loose toner from printing tends to settle on this mirror. Over time the mirror coats over and the actual laser scanner beam cannot reflect off the mirror with proper intensity, usually resulting in very faded magenta color or no magenta at all. Good luck

I have the HP 1000 laserjet, and it has started to
the squeal may be due to the fact that the paper tray won't lift...the lift tray should give just a bit. make sure there is not something under the tray where it won't go down. and if it doesn't go down, then the pickup roller can't rotate, and you get the noise. best answer with info. given
