Model 6626lct turns picture off

This can happen for 2 reasons. One is that some TVs are equipped with a set up that will turn the set off if no input source is detected ( cable, antenna etc...) Check all connections. The most likely cause is the TIMER settings. Use your remote to access your menu, then TV settings, then into Timer (sleep timer). Set the sleep timer function to off ( or "0" on and "0" off) This should do it.

Lost sound from possible

Hello,

Firstly, connect your TV to a DVD player and observe if there will be any sound. If you don't still hear any sound after connecting it via a DVD player, then it means the problem is from the sound IC/sound chip of your TV. The lightening might have affected the sound which has made it defective.

You need to replace the sound IC/chip of your TV. But I don't know if this is what you can fix yourself. Maybe you should take it to a repairman to fix for you.

Good luck.

Where and what rating of diode D603 do I buy?

Send a high resolution screenshot of the area of the board where it is located and we'll help you the best we can.

Most of the time you can't really tell SMD diode type, but based on experience one can usually pick an appropriate substitute.

I have the same problem as a lot of the unsolved

http://www.manualnguide.com/download/manual-guide/sylvania-6626lct-owners-manual.html
Above is your owners manual.
http://www.service-manual.net/ashop/catalogue.php?cat=297

Above is a link for your service manual one simply MUST have one, as repair is nearly impossible without, and also it has the part numbers that one needs to order replacement parts.
With this symptom, it is impossible to tell what the exact "Cause" of this symptom is. The LED's do not tell us what is wrong, sometimes it may indicate the "Area" in your case, we could, just say it was the, it is the X board. BUT, in any case thats NOT where the "Fault is" thats just the part that is affected. These days unlike the "Old" analogue days it just isn't realistically possible to fix anything but the most basic of problems with todays sophisticated units. This is quite apart from the Safety aspect, any unit that can cause a firs or have an explosion, or both, is NOT to be treated lightly, and and the repairer, of the unit is legally responsible, another thing to think about. Also, one must have tools, a Multimeter, a soldering iron, a deslodering iron, an oscilloscope, a signal tracer, tools, and most important of all, a Service Manual, without which, there is no way to even begin to understand and fix it, and more importantly Program it, AFTER it has been fixed. As these days a TV, is a PC, a Tuner, and an HDTV Monitor, and more, all in one. in the "old" days TV"s were more, rudimentary, and built to last for 20 years, and a "Parts" supply was set aside. They usually used to fail for only a few reasons, and they while still difficult, were less difficult to repair. Electrical knowledge was transferable, and they could be and would respond to, This-is-the-symptom-This-us-the-Fix, But that no longer applies, as now, it can be a Fault on I squared Bus, or "Sensor" failure, or it simple may have "Crashed" just like a PC, It could be a Diode go bad, and that will stop the whole thing. You see, in the day, the sets were Very "Fault Tolerant" because they were Analouge, and a faulty, component, or more sometimes, the set would always diplay something usually, and when they didn't it was one of only a few things, sure there are always the horrid ones, and there are pleanty of those, but all in all it was quite easy. But with Digital Electronics, it either goes, or it doesnt, there are usualy few half measures. I mean thats the definition of logic either going or not. So it can take very little to completely paralyse a set, and generally give the only sysmptom, it can, by not working, usually No picture, or the like. So you, see the list is endless almost for any given SYMPTOM, as that is what is being seen, not the cause, as I keep going on about. Also any fault, usually involves the Power Supply, it is either the cause, the cause of the damage, or it is damaged. or ALL of them. Then after you have done the electronic repairs, you then must program the set to work, and align, and set up in general, any one of those settings missed or done wrong, back to square one. So, it is nearly always my professional opinion that one should always get a "Quote" form the manufacturers recommended service center, I cannot stress how important that last point is. It is even worth the cost of shipping. you see an authorised service agent, will have trained staff, trained on their brand, also they have first hand access to parts, original parts. This will actually save you money and ensure you can actually get it back fixed. Of course asking for a "Quote" also gives on the option of repair or replace

Sylvania lcd tv model number 6626lct set is dead.

in the lcd tv there are three main parts 1)the inverter board(pannel) 2)the main board . 3)the power supply board. ---------- if there is no power at all them main board is faulty.but you mentioned that green light is blinking so there is power .so the main board is not faulty. --------------- if there is sound but no picture and green light is blinking then its inverter board panel problem.if this is your case replace inverter panel. ----------- but if there is just green light blinking , but no picture or sound then its power supply board problem. ------------ on power supply board there are some capacitors and ic located.if any of the component gets short or budged up then it short the power supply board.so you can check the components on power supply board with multimeter and get it replaced by using soldering iron. ---------- also you can get new replaCEment power supply board.this clears the problem completely. --------- you can get the required board and components at ----- www.partstore.com -------- or from ------ www.radioshack.com ---- --------- if you are not familiar with doing this you can get it done by local tv repair technician familiar with this model tv. ----------- This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

TV is dead. No standby light, no power light. We

Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. Or, something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.

You have a few choices:

1. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
2. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
