Warning signal just before I shot pic

Hi

It means there is not enough light and you will probably end up with a blurry photo if you don't use the flash.

Good luck

Delete the file in MSC folder

Hi

The folder is created automatically on the memory card, you should be able to browse to it by connecting the camera to your computer and opening up the camera storage through "My Computer" on your desktop.

Zoom strucked

Hi

Your lens needs to be repaired or replaced. There are online places that will do it for a decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.

I know, because I own one that charges a reasonable price to do the repair! (Google 'darntoothysam')
Just let us know if we can help!

You can also buy a defective camera online and use the parts to fix one from the two yourself.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

ON MY DISPLAY

Hi

This is normally a problem with the flash. Try resetting all the options to default through the menu... I think Sony calls it 'initialize' but I don't have a W35 on hand to walk through the steps sorry.

Hopefully this will work. If not, you will have to replace the flash, but you may still have to clear the error message after replacing the flash and that takes specialized equipment.

Good luck

I can't take pictures....

This error message TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is a common error message for digital cameras that has a zoom lens. One possible cause for this is that the battery may had drained out and the lens is still extended. There would be different that steps you could perform and make sure you have fresh or fully charged batteries when performing these steps.

First of course try to do what the error states.

If will not work, set the unit in PLAY mode before turning it ON or immediately right after you press the power. If it successfully gets through the PLAY mode, initialize the settings and restart th camera. You could initialize it by going to the menu and then setup.

If still will not work, turn it off and also remove the battery and allow it to have no power at all for a minute.

If all the steps above will still not work. your camera would require service and try calling its manufacturer to setup a repair on it.

Help with red flash?????

Do you mean, the AF Illuminator (the bright orange/red light that appears before the picture is taken)?? If so, all have to do is click on menu, scroll all the way to the right (into the setup menu) and go to the camera icon. From there, go down to the AF Illuminator and switch it from "Auto" to "Off".

Hope that resolves your problem!!

If Sony 'Repaired' it and the problem persist then they did not do a proper job. Send it back with a full explanation and demand a proper fix.

Not powering off

lights flashing like that usually means something is wrong in the shut-down procedure. my guess (and is quite common ) is that the lens doesnt retrack all the way hitting a clitched gear spline or something, maybe just weak motor,....as your retry it it settles in proper and tells the micro its ok now to shut down. good luck
