Gps wont turn on

Make sure the battery is charged up. Check to see if your power source is giving the required voltage necessary, or that your cable is good. A basic voltmeter can help you determine the problem.

Did you remove and/or reformat the SD Card that cam with the unit? All of the in-dash systems have and SD Card and if you deleted the information on it in any way, you must send it back to Polaris in order for it to be reinitialized.

If you need to contact Polaris, here is the contact page for their website:

Hi, im looking for a

Don't make the assumption that GPS navigation systems are all expensive - the Evesham Nav-Cam 7700 device is one of the cheapest ones available, retailing for $160 with a $5 shipping fee. The specifications (available after the jump) might not amount to much, but if you're looking for a basic GPS system without the frills of MP3 and video playback, the Nav-Cam 7700 offers value for money in theory. After all, you already have your iPod for all your multimedia needs, so why purchase a device with redundant functions?

• Audio: Integrated speaker/Headphone socket

• Battery Life: 3 Hours Navigation
• Dimensions: 3.7" x 2.9" x 0.8"

Update maps Nav Cam 7700

I am glad to HELP YOU!

Unfortunately the website of the manufacturer is useless because is NOT ACCESSIBLE [http://www.nav-cam.com]. Usually on the website most of the GPS devices manufacturers' are offering updates [firmware & maps]. Thinking of this "special" case of Nav-Cam all you can do is to connect the company:
# by telephone - 866-268-8515
# by e-mail - [email protected]

GOOD LUCK!

You'll be hard-pressed to find a repair service for units such as these, since they are note worth much money. You can check ebay, but I doubt anybody is selling a repair service for your unit.

How can I use the

THE MAPS SHOULD BE BUILT IN (AA MAPS)

Here is a review you might like to read...
I got the Nav-Cam because of the AA link. This was a mistake (are you listening, AA?). Here are my big moans (I have many more, but let them pass).
(1)I had to paint the shiny silver aerial matt black to stop horrible windscreen reflections. (2) Most times I start it up it jams and I have to press reset with a paper clip. (3) It takes silly routes through the centre of towns along the route instead of trying to avoid them. (4) It is s-l-o-w, and frequently misses the junction I'm supposed to turn at. (5) The touch screen is hopeless and only works reliably with the rubber end of a pencil. Trying to scroll using a fingertip is hopeless. (6) My house and street (built in 2000) are not on the 2007 map. (7) The Europe maps are a disaster, particularly in Spain, where it can't tell a dirt track from an ordinary road, and frequently therefore sends me offroad. (8) The journey timings, especially in France, are hopelessly optimistic (about 70% of what they should be). (9) Map updates? What map updates? Since many local road numbers have been changed recently in France and Spain, this means the directions it gives are worse than useless.
Conclusion: A complete waste of money. If you want a Sat Nav, then do yourself a favour: buy *anything* but this. Better still, buy a map.

Please rate my help++++Thanks for using Fixya
