Canon powershot "A570 IS" is dead I'm looking for location of fuses on pcb

Cameras do not typically have fuses for protection as they have specific batteries that will not damage the pcboard in the camera. If any components were damaged you would probably need to have it replace.

Why does the lens comes out then goes back in and I cant take any pictures

Rosalie, try re-charging/replacing the battery. Although the lens comes out and retracts, the battery may be weak. good luck

Pwere shot cannon says card locked

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My canon powershot "A570 IS" is dead I'm looking forlocation of fuses on pcb

I'm afraid you are looking for a thing that is not in the camera. There are no fuses in a camera. Sometimes electronic equipment has a diode, to prevent damage by connecting the wrong way around (reversed battery or so) but a fuse in a camera? no!!

HOW HOW TO DISPLAY DATE AND TIME ON THE IMAGE

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Problem with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20

The camera won't deface your pictures by scrawling a string of numbers across them. However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Could you mail me a manual to my physical address for this camera!!!!!!

You may download the manual from here and print it yourself or have an office supply or printing shop print and bind it. If you really want the original manual you can contact Canon and request it, though I doubt they'd have one considering the age of the camera.

Imac won't recognize camera

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

How do you take out a memory card from canon powershot A570 IS?

Open the card slot cover and push down gently on the edge of the card as if to push it further into the camera. The card will pop out a bit, allowing you to grasp it and pull it out all the way.

Card locked message on a570is

Solution: I had a similar problem with another camera: no matter what position of the lock on the card was, the camera kept saying "card locked". I got the card out and looked inside the space where the card resided. There's a small pin there that is responsible for sensing the lock on the card. Sometimes the pin gets "tired" and you have to raise it a little bit: just try to straighten it up with a clip or a nail. After I did it, the problem was solved.

Lost the sd card after taking photos the with Cannon A570is. How can I recover the photos with only the camera?

If you haven't transferred the photos from the card to some other device then the only way you'll see those photos again is if you find the card. It's like anything else you have only one of. If you lose it, you've lost it.Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but that's the way it is.

How do I open the card/battery door on my Powershot A570 Camera?

My canon camera does the same thing. Engage the button and use your fingernail to wedge between the battery door and the camera body. This should cause the door to slide open.

Canon Powershot A570 IS Problem- Photos deleted when new folder was created?

I would seek professional advice, there is recovery software out there that are very good, you have tried two, if there is any chance to recover more you need to talk to someone that is experienced in these matters. Best buys may be able to help and worth a try, a camera repair store would be another option.

WILL NOT POWER ON

Your camera is still under warranty. Recommend letting Canon try to correct this, instead of trying to fix this yourself.

Here's the support page for your camera:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=14905

Or you can call them directly at 1 (800) 828-4040.

I found out how to fix it. (STEP 1.) Take out all of the batteries. (STEP 2.) Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. (STEP 3.) Put the batteries back in and you should be all set.
