Printing invitations
if you are printing from word 2010 and have an HP printer;
-set up your document on your screen how you want it to look, go into your print preview section, your printer should be listed towards the top of your page and directly under it should be "printer properties" click here, select the features tab in the next window and change your paper size to the correct size for your document.
-you may also need to go into the page layout tab in the main screen, select the size button, click on "more paper sizes" at the bottom of the window, select the paper tab and change the size of your paper again to the size of your document
-lastly, while in the "paper" tab window select "print options" towards the bottom right corner, left side of new screen click on advanced, scroll down to print and make sure there is NOT a check in the box that says "scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11" paper sizes
Lid of printer came dislodged from hinge
Mine too. Working on finding a work around right now. I did find a place that sells replacement parts for these printers but I am too cheep to pay $50 for a hinge. Partshere.com is the site I found. Still looking, will up date if I find anything cheeper or a "creative" alternative.
Motherboard problem?
In general it costs more to repair a printer than to replace it. Spares are not easy to get. Sorry.
Prints too light
What happens if you try cleaning the heads not the standard once, but at least four times in a row without doing anything else in between, please? Don't try a test, don't switch off; just run the cleaning routine at least four times in straight row. (Sorry that might use a lot of ink)
Some, particularly smaller printers don't really like being left more than two or three weeks without printing and it could help to print even just a small test image every fortnight or so. (Again, sorry that uses ink)
