Samsung SyncMaster 215TW 21" LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
How to remove auto visualisation
My TV had the same problem and I have managede to get rid of it. The solution is very simple. This displays mean that your TV is in the " Store Demo" mode and any changes you make will last only for 30 minutes and when the TV is turned off the settings will change back to the normal. Whether you TV is in the "Store Demo" mode can be confirmed by pressing the "Info" button on the remote and you will see that "store demo" appears on the screen. To change this mode to the "home mode" you will have to press the "Volume button" on the TV and when the volume sign appears on the screen then you will have to press the "Menu" button on the TV (not on the remote)and hold it down for about 7to 10 seconds. This changes your TV mode from "store demo" mode to the home mode. Confrim whether the store demo mode has been put off by pressing the "Info" button on the remote to see whether the store demo sign appears on the screen. The store demo is set by sales persons in the shops so that any demonstratation/changes that they make while showing to customers will be temporary as the settings revert back to the original.

My Samsung SyncMaster 215tw stays
I'd verify all the cable connections first.
You could be dealing with two different problems, bad monitor, or a bad videocard/pc.
I'd swap the monitor out to verify that the computer is working as it should first. Once you determine that the PC is in fact fine, my suggestion would be to change the resolution on the PC to a lower setting then normal. Once that is done Plug the Samsung SyncMaster 215tw back into the pc and see if it powers on.
If it does not, i'd check the cables and swap them with something else to make sure thats not the problem. If you have another PC available, i'd test the monitor on that PC to make sure that it is not the issue.
After all that you'll come to the determination on what the problem is. Sadly, if the LCD is bad you'll have to replace it as they are extremely expensive to repair and generally not worth it.
However, i'd verify if it is under warranty or not, you never know! you might be able to get it fixed for free :D

My brightness menu will not go away
Does the brightness keep increasing / decreasing or only the menu remains on ?
If it keeps increasing / decreasing, that particular switch must be defective. Need to replace the switch.

Screen flashes - samsung 215tw LCD monitor
walkstex, I will answer the last ? first. All LCD monitors WILL NEED to have their "cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes" replaced!!! As long as your display had a Bright, Crisp image displayed on it before this "FLASHING" symptom occured, then you don't need new CCF tubes. Your problem seems to be occuring in the electronic ballast circuit called an INVERTER. It Takes 12-15v DC and turns it into 800-1200v ac to light up the CCF tubes. This is the same technology used in the new style curlieQ screw-in light bulbs called CFL's. Only difference is they use what is known as a CONVERTER circuit----AC to AC!!!! And the tubes hung horizontally on the rear of your LCD panel are thin and straight. So, to answer your first ? Yes, it is an issue of getting the CCF tubes to light up. (backlighting) Now, I should also mention that there could possibly be a problem with the main power supply in the monitor. It is called a "switch-mode-power-supply" (smps) that supplies DC for the digital signal processing board (typ +5v) and 12-15v for the inverter. Well, This typical type of symptom could be as simple as a thermally fractured solder joint on the power supply board or some bad Filter capacitors could also need replacing. I suggest that you search web to find out more about the things I have mentioned in the above text. Do search for things like "swollen capacitors", "Bulging Capacitors" and checkout
www.badcaps.net for some pictures of typical failures. Get back to me if you want to carry this any further on your own. Bye for now. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @aol.com

How to fix pink colur screen on sync master 794 mg samsung
The connecting cable or the video card would be the first suspects. Try a different cable to connect the monitor first, if there is no change, the video card in the computer would be second to look at. Can simply connect a different monitor to your computer to troubleshoot this. If the testing monitor works, it will be the graphics card that is the issue.
