How to save ex510 videos on my mac computer

HI Alan,

thank you for using fixya. for you to be able to set videos on the Mac, first you have to have either the application for the camera that will convert the video file to a file system that the Mac will understand. Once this is done you can transfer videos with no issue. Secondly, you can copy the videos as it is and us itunes to convert the video to a file system that the Mac will be able to understand.

Casio exlim 4.0 mega pexils

Hi,

Try using a can of compressed air on the shutter mechanism. You may have a piece of grit between the blades. Also whilst the camera is switched off you can gently move the shutter manually when you do and there's something stopping it you'll feel it. Move the shutter up and down quickly and the grit may fall out. Even a gentle tap with the camera upside down and the right way up may dislodge any dirt.
One of my customers had the audacity to put a dab of super glue on the shutter. He never had a half open shutter again. A bit drastic but it worked for him. He ended up fitting a UV filter to the lens and his lens is safe from damage or dirt.

First thing I would do is reset the camera. This is a fairly easy procedure which involves either going into your setup menu and choosing "reset" (or initialize), holding down the menu key for 5 seconds, or, removing the batteries for a few minutes. It may be that the firmware loading got corrupted and the camera just needs to be "rebooted," which is something that turning it on/off won't accomplish. But after which, you should have the camera reset to factory default settings.

Another tip is to go to Manufacturer's website and look for firmware updates. Download and install
them.

If problem still persists, if UNDER WARRANTY, get it replaced, If not get it REPAIRED by Tech.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using 'Fixya'.

Casio Exilim works on cradle, wont turn on when off cradle

I would guess that the battery is not being charged. The problem could be poor connections between the charger & Camera or between camera and battery; or the battery no longer will take a charge.
First, clean the connections with the eraser end of a pencil. Clean the connections on the Charger and on the camer; clean the battery connections and in the camera, Charge overnight. If this does not get the camera working, borrow a battery and see if this works.

After 2 shots I am getting Memory full sign

These cameras have little memory and should be used with a memory card. The erase function may be for the memory card. Memory cards are not expensive now.

Won't turn on!!

lol, i had mine for a year also and had the same thing happen to me. My camera wouldn't charge or even turn on for that matter. I was stumbled. After a week of thinking about it I realised I had put the Battery in the wrong way. I dont even remember taking my battery out ever, but I have a Sandisk SD Card Plus w/ USB and when I took it I I think I accidentally popped the battery out too. Then I must have put it back in the wrong way. Make sure the (+) and (-) is on the correct sides. Hope this helps. If not, sorry

How do you use the solution with charging one

Tear off two small pieces of aluminum foil, each one no larger than a fingernail. Fold each one into the same size as the contact points on the Casio Exilim battery you want to jumpstart. Place them on that battery and press them onto the battery contact points. The aluminum foil pieces should protrude enough from the Exilim battery to touch the jumping battery. Then take a 9-volt battery, match the positive and negative terminals to the Exilim battery, and press the 9-volt onto the pieces of foil that protrude from the Exilim battery. Keep the batteries together for about 30 seconds; you may feel the Exilim battery become slightly warmer. Then put the Exilim battery into the charger; you should now see a steady red light with no blinking. This method worked for me.

Problem with the battery

I just had this happen to mine too. I think this is a design problem with the camera/battery combination. My camera has a lithium polymer battery (most do now). Lithium polymer (lipo for short) batteries should never be allowed to discharge below about 2.75 volts. Letting the battery discharge below that level will actually permanently damage the cell.

In order to keep that from happening, the device that uses the lipo should have protection circuitry that prevents the battery from falling below that level. I think this is where the Casio camera may have an issue. I found that if I left the battery in the camera for about a month, I was not able to charge it! Lipo battery chargers are more sophisticated than typical charges because lipos need to be charged in a specific way. The first thing a lipo charger does is to check the voltage of the battery you insert into it. If it is below a critical minimum voltage, it will not even charge the battery (Casio charger blinks red continuously).

There are a couple tricks you can do to get the battery to charge, but that's not the important thing here. I think Casio needs to address this issue with our cameras. It would be nice if we could just update the firmware in the camera, but I'm not sure we can do that. I intend to contact Casio to see if they know anything. Based on how many posts like this I have read, I bet they do.

Good luck to use all.

My Casio Exilim EX-S770 does not turn on.

1. Remove the battery from the camera and leave it for couple of minutes.

2. Re-insert the battery after maybe 20 seconds and turn the camera on.

Battery charger

I had the same problem as this.
what i did was...
i kept putting the battery on the charger then took it off as soon as the red light came on.
i did this about 6 times.
doing this puts a bit of charge in the battery each time before the charger starts to flash.
after the battery as got enough charge in it it can start to charge.
hope this helps.
