Problem with fax Memory
This could be very simple. Check to be EXTRA sure that your USB line is NOT plugged into the fax line. (There's a little phone icon). That's what happened to me....boy am i dumb!
How do i fix my printer, error 6500
Please follow the steps below:
1- Remove ALL the ink cartridges from the printer
2- Check that there is no residual tape on the cartridges.
3- Then clean the contacts (the hole where the ink comes out) on the cartridges as well as inside the printer itself (you may want to use gloves here)
NOTE: Clean the contacts with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab.
4- If any of the other cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging, replace them with genuine and original ones.
5- Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 60 seconds
6- Insert the cartridges and check to see if the issue persists.
Say paper jam. But no paper jam.
Hello, my name is Steve.
And what you are experiencing is a "false paper jam". This is when the pickup roller or Paper feed tire is attempting to pick a sheet of paper from the tray and it cannot.
The feed tires of paper pick up rollers are glazed (dirty). So the tire/roller is sliding on the surface of the paper, much like a bald tire will not have good traction on a wet road's surface.
It is time for a cleaning of the surface of this part..
Based on a person's ability to attempt this type of cleaning, precautions need to be understood. Unfortunately, If this is a wet-ink type printer, the manufacturer does not make parts like this to replace.
I hope this explained what is involved, Best to you, Steve

Try press and hold reset button for 5+ seconds.
Error code U052 how do
U052 is a temperature sensor in the works below the cartridges.
Canon can ship you the part; it's not the inks cart, but then it's not for me to say 5 minutes with the power off or 20 with either a solvent cartridge (especially on any colors with stripe dropouts) or cleaning the works and reseating flex cables won't fix it. (Take it to a Canon shop per any surviving repair warrants; it's serious enough.)
Hi their
The dreaded U052 error means that the 'chip' fitted to the Cartridge is not responding .. Canon (like all printer mfgs) makes all it's profit from selling Ink .. so they fit these chips to try to prevent you refilling or using a '
compatible' replacement cartridge
You have to move the chip from the
Canon cartridge to the 'compatible' and (it seems) the chips are particularly sensitive to static / damage .. many people end up blowing the chips during the swap over .. or even when fitting the original genuine cartridges to a brand new unit for the first time ...
If the unit is brand new, take it back and demand a replacement ... if you have just swapped over the chip onto a compatible cartridge, you can try buying a genuine Canon cartridge (which will have a new chip) = hopefully that will do the trick
CHECK CARTRIDGE u052

Reseat print cartridge and ink tanks, replace any very low ink one's. turn off printer, unplug electrical, remove usb on printer and computer. plug all back in, turn on. Alarm and message should disappear. Clean and realign with software.
